The Spaniard is happy with the way his side has performed so far this season.
FC Goa will face NorthEast United for their 12th ISL encounter of the season on Wednesday. They are currently placed in the second spot in the points table. Sergio Lobera and Hugo Boumous attended the pre-match press conference ahead of the game. Regarding their loss in the previous match against Bengaluru FC, Sergio Lobera said, “For me, it is not only about winning against Bengaluru. For me the most important thing is to win the league. And, you know, the first season, the difference in the final of the league against Bengaluru and Goa was 10 points." [KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS] “In the second year, my second year, we lost the trophy with only three minutes remaining. And now, with seven matches remaining, we are two points ahead of Bengaluru. This is the most important thing for me. The last match, maybe, is one of the best matches of FC Goa.” He then further went on to explain the intricacies of the game against BFC. “I am very proud of my players after the last match.” Hugo Boumous was asked about who he felt was the best team in the ISL. The midfielder replied, “I think we are the best team. There’s no doubt about that. We show the best football. We are the most attractive team to watch. In the league there are strong teams like ATK, Jamshedpur." [KH_ADWORDS type="4" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS] "Also, there was a tough game against NorthEast, the first one. So, let’s see tomorrow.” It was pointed by a reporter that there have been occasions in some games when Boumous has been in a position to score a goal but rather preferred to pass the ball to some other teammate and not take the shot himself. The player said, “The main thing is scoring a goal. If I do an assist, if I do a pass and then it is a goal then it is a good decision. If I shoot and it’s a goal then also it’s a good decision." "I don’t have a preference between an assist and a goal. It depends on the situation. Sometimes in the situation I will shoot and sometimes I will pass the ball."Team News
