The five games produced 14 goals and caused trouble in the league table.
After an exhilarating week in the Indian Super League (ISL), ATK moved up to the top of the table with nine points. The clash against in-form Jamshedpur FC saw the Kolkata-based outfit ride on with the courtesy of a double-strike from Roy Krishna and a sublime finish from Edu Garcia.
Interestingly, there were three penalties in the second half and all three ended up in the back of the net.
Krishna netted the first two from the spot for the hosts while Sergio Castel pulled one back for the visitors.
Second-placed FC Goa too had an impressive week as they returned home with an excellent 2-4 victory at Mumbai City FC.
The game at Mumbai Football Arena witnessed an absolutely thrilling contest between the two sides that involved lots of twists and turns.
[KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]The visitors had taken a double lead in the first half through Lenny Rodrigues and Ferran Corominas.
However, a Sarthak Golui-header and a wonder-strike from Souvik Chakrabarty saw the Islanders put the scores back to level in the second half.
Yet, it was the Gaurs who had the last laugh as foreigners Hugo Boumous and Carlos Pena scored another round of goals two hand their side over with the win.
Meanwhile, NorthEast United are at par on points with Goa as they too picked up a narrow in at Hyderabad FC courtesy a Massimiliano Barreiro-penalty.
Lastly, Bengaluru FC had a superb outing at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium as they comfortably defeated low-lying Chennaiyin FC 3-0.
Erik Paartalu had given the lead to the hosts early on with a nicely-timed header while Semboi Haokip put an end to the matters late in the second half.
However, it was Sunil Chhetri’s scorcher in the 25th minute that shadowed the other goals as it definitely is a contender for the Goal of the Week.
