The game ends on even terms owing to goals from Castel and Triadis for their respective teams. This result marks the sixth consecutive draw in the current season of the ISL which is a record for the most consecutive number of draws in the competition. Jamshedpur remain unbeaten at home while NorthEast United remain unbeaten in the league. 90 + 3' Farukh is adjudged the Hero of the Match for his brilliant overall display. 90' TRIADIS SCORES!! The visitors find the goal they were looking for after Triadis finds himself unmarked and slots it past Pal in goal. It's 1-1!! Gyan finally makes his mark by providing the assist for the leveller. 88' It's all happening here! Aniket is brought down in the box but the referee deems it not a penalty. Gyan on the other end heads the ball wide from the resulting counter attack. 86' YELLOW CARD! Robin Gurung is booked for time wasting. 84' SO NEAR! Farukh is inches away from being on the receiving end of a brilliant cross from Acosta. Another goal from the hosts will certainly put them favourites for all three points. 82' Both teams are finding it tough to create clear cut opportunities and with eight minutes plus injury time left to play, this is the perfect scenario for JFC. 78' Substitution Redeem Tlang makes way for Milan for NEUFC. Also, Castel is taken off by Antonio Iriondo and is replaced by Aniket Jadhav. A troubling sight for the JFC fans who would be hoping the damage is not much to their star striker's ankle. 75' Gyan rises the highest to get on the end of a corner, but his header is wayward. 73' Castel is brought down who has seemingly hurt his ankle in the process. Will he be taken off by the gaffer? 70' A dangerous low cross from the right flank is latched on to by Sumeet Passi whose diving header goes wide off the mark. 67' Substitution Leudo makes way for Barreiro. The skipper is taken off by Jarni who may have an injury. 65' OPPORTUNITY MISSED!! Gyan finds himself one-on-one with a defender but is not able to weave past him, the ball falls to Chaves who lobs it to Triadis who could not manage to control the ball which goes out for a goal kick. 62' Choudhary tries to find Castel but the ball is safely cleared by the defender and recovered by Roy in the goal. 60' The game is moving at a snail's pace now with both teams cancelling each other out. Meanwhile, CK Vineeth is taken off for Sumeet Passi. 55' Gyan almost gets a second touch inside the box but the ball is cleared by the JFC defence before he could balance himself and get a shot on goal. 52' A brilliantly worked free kick sees Narender Gahlot guide his header above the bar, where he could have played the ball back in for the options in the box. JFC are looking motivated to increase their lead here. 49' Sergio Castel is the go-to man for JFC right now, as the Spaniard is heavily involved in their build-up play. Meanwhile, Leudo pulls down Acosta but dodges being booked. 46' Second half beckons! We are back in action for the second 45-minutes here at The Furnace. HALF-TIME!! The hosts go into the break with a goal advantage thanks to Sergio Castel who is now leading the goal scoring charts with five to his name. NEUFC have threatened with set-pieces but must improve their overall gameplay to get anything from this game. 45' NEUFC almost levels with Chaves missing from point-blank range as his header goes just a fraction wide of the goal. 42' Chaves finds Triadis just outside the box whose right footed shot is weak and safely collected by Subrata Pal in the goal. 39' Faurkh has been the main focal point today for JFC as he plays a fine through ball to Acosta whose shot is deflected over the bar. 37' The crowd is now collectively cheering on their team. The atmosphere is getting intense here at The Furnace. Meanwhile, NEUFC wins a corner but nothing comes off it. 33' NEAR!! Sergio Castel almost doubles the lead from close range, but his flick goes narrowly wide off the mark. 28' GOALLL!! Just as we mentioned the game needed a goal, it was delivered by who else but Sergio Castel. He latches on to a rebound from a low cross by Choudhary and volleys it into the net. It's 1-0!! 26' It's a close contest between these two teams. The game desperately needs a goal to get this game into gear. 22' YELLOW CARD Chaves is booked by the referee for a reckless challenge from behind on Tiri. 20' Chaves drives at the JFC defence, but selfishly takes the shot himself from outside the box and fires it into the stands. His teammates are expectedly not very pleased. 18' Castel tries a low cross from the right flank after Choudhary turns the marker and feeds the Spaniard in the channel. But the cross is safely dealt with by the defenders. 13' There have not been clear chances in the game as of yet, with both teams struggling to turn possession into meaningful chances. 10' The visitors are finding it hard to keep hold of the ball, as Jamshedpur are using the channels to stretch the NEUFC defence and playing decent passing football. 6' CLOSE!! Farukh Choudhary attempts an acrobatic kick from a decent cross by Acosta from the left flank, but the ball goes above the frame of the goal. 3' The hosts have started the game on the front foot, and have dominated much of the possession. A free kick from a dangerous area is safely cleared by the NEUFC defenders. 1' KICK OFF!! Antonio Iriondo talks about the defensive woes

Jamshedpur’s defence has been guilty of looking weaker in the second half of games. While that has not proven to be a major headache for the side so far, it is obviously an issue Antonio Iriondo and his assistants would like to address on the training ground, if they want to push for a serious title challenge. “I think there is a defending problem in second halves. I think it’s not only happening to us, it is happening to the other teams as well. The way the matches are going, the defence has to undergo a lot of punishment. For us, in Goa, you know, when you’re winning 0-1, sometimes players feel that the best way is to peg back, try to defend and hit the opponent on the counter. I love that we are able to play in the same way, if we’re winning by five goals or one goal, but we have this habit of going and pressing opponents.”

Robert Jarni talks about how Jamshedpur has good balance

Speaking to the media, coach Robert Jarni claimed that he was wary of the threat of Jamshedpur FC. He said, “For me they (Jamshedpur FC) are a team who have very good balance between the defence and attack. For me, they are the best team in India at the moment. I know this is a very difficult match for us. But, we prepared very good and we want to win.”
