The Mumbai City FC head coach also talked about Paulo Machado's injury in the press conference.
Mumbai City FC registered a well fought 1-2 win against Jamshedpur FC on Thursday evening. Paulo Machado and Raynier Fernandes were on the scoresheet for the Islanders, while Tiri scored the only goal for the hosts. Following the win against Jamshedpur FC, Mumbai City head coach Jorge Costa interacted with the media in the post-match press conference. [KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]Thoughts On The Game
Jorge Costa started the proceedings saying, “We knew we will have a difficult game against Jamshedpur, although this performance was not our best performance." "The first reason is Jamshedpur is a better team just like last season and the second reason is, we played against Bengaluru which was very tough. We didn’t get any training grounds here and so we had our training session in the gym. We woke up very early today after such a long travel and it was not easy for us,” the Portuguese added. “I told the boys to use the sides, as it was not possible for us to use the width. In the first half, we were sloppy. But, in the second, we controlled the game. We didn’t create enough chances, but it happens after a long travel. We weren’t focused as we should be, but we are happy to go back home with three points,” Jorge Costa further went on to say. They put in many crosses as well, but correct me if I’m wrong, I don’t think they created many chances in the game. If you think they created so many chances, I’m sorry, I don’t agree with that," he said. Mumbai's Paulo Machado suffered an injury against Jamshedpur FC and was substituted in the 78th minute. Quizzed regarding the Portuguese midfielder's injury status, Jorge Costa revealed, “I don’t know. We’ll need to check up on him, but we have a good squad. I have players who I can trust.”Latest News
