The Portuguese coach yet again expressed his disappointment with the referees' decisions.
Mumbai City FC beat NorthEast United 1-0 at the Mumbai Football Arena and made sure their claim for a place in the top four remains strong. A jubilant Jorge Costa spoke to the media in the post-match press conference. The Mumbai City head coach was especially happy with his team’s recent defensive performances. “I am happy with the team. When we don’t concede goals it means that we work as a team. All the players are helping in defence. We didn’t concede any goals and if I remember they had some chances from corners and nothing special.” [KH_ADWORDS type="4" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS] However, Jorge Costa also admitted that his side's performance was far from perfect on the night. “We are not perfect of course. There are always one or two players that for one or the other reason are not doing what I wanted them to do." "In the beginning, we did not have a big problem. Although, some small problems because (Federico) Gallego was having the ball. It was not a wonderful game, but one team deserved to win and I think Mumbai City deserved the three points.” The Portuguese head coach also stated that he is used to the pressure from his time as a player. “This is something for me which is too easy. Our job, me as a coach and the players, we are under pressure from the beginning of the season and of course depending on the opposition. If you are fighting for something at the end of the league you have more pressure. This is my life, I played for more than 20 years, I am a coach for more than 15 years and all my life I have this pressure.” [KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News | Article Continues Below"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS] On the other hand, Jorge Costa was clearly unhappy with some of the refereeing decisions saying, “After every game we are speaking about the same thing. I'm not happy. I am not happy with the yellow card to (Modou) Sougou, that’s another player we miss for the next game." "I am not happy with the yellow card. It is not normal after every match we speak, I and all the coaches, we speak about the work of the referee.”Latest News
