The NorthEast United head coach also stressed that he has other players in his squad to replace the Ghanaian striker.
Following a disappointing 0-3 defeat against ATK, NorthEast United head coach Robert Jarni interacted with the media in the post-match press conference on Saturday night.Despite being sub-par in almost every department, the visitors were clinical in front of goal and their deadly forward duo of David Williams and Roy Krishna showed their class to end NorthEast United's unbeaten run this season.
[KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]The defeat on Saturday night, despite dominating the possession and passing would've certainly hurt the Highlanders and was made evident by their coach Robert Jarni. "This is our first loss of the season. We know this team well and we attacked well and exploited a lot of spaces in the ATK defence as well. But, we have lost this game, so we have to now go and prepare well for the next one," the Croatian began.
NorthEast United's star striker Asamoah Gyan was brought off in the first half with a thigh strain, which he had suffered against Hyderabad FC as well. The injury could turn out to be a huge blow for the Highlanders, with their head coach also crossing his fingers on the severity of the knock.
"We don't know yet (the extent), we all saw what happened. I hope it is not long time," Robert Jarni quipped, hoping that the Ghanaian will be fit for the home game against Chennaiyin FC next Thursday.

If he isn't, I have other players. I have 25 players in this squad."
The Highlanders will look to bounce back when they host Chennaiyin FC on December 12
