The 29-year-old goes out on a second loan period since joining the Mariners.
ATK Mohun Bagan have sanctioned a deal which will see Brad Inman join Western United FC on loan for the remainder of the season in the A-League. The Australian had played the latter part of the Indian Super League 2020-21 season with Odisha FC.
The loan move will see the 29-year-old join WUFC later this month after completing a mandatory quarantine period. “I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to come out on loan to Western United FC. I look forward to linking up with my new teammates and a talented squad at the conclusion of my mandatory quarantine period,” Brad Inman was quoted as saying after the transfer was confirmed.
Opportunities to showcase his talent with the Mariners were few, but the midfielder impressed while representing the Juggernauts. He scored a goal and provided two assists for the Bhubaneswar-based outfit in six appearances.
Ante Kovacevic, the Western United General Manager Football sounded exuberant and cannot wait to have Inman help the team for the rest of the season. He said, “We are excited to add Bradden to the squad and strengthen our attacking options for the remainder of the season. With his lengthy overseas experience, we expect him to bring the cutthroat intensity into the team and see his quality on the field, while driving improvements in the team.”
“We look forward to Bradden joining the squad,” he added.
Brad Inman will need to go through a period of 14 days in quarantine before he can join up with his new teammates. He has represented Brisbane Roar in the A-League previously, where he scored four goals and made six assists in 24 league outings.
It is interesting to see that it is merely a loan move, which means ISL fans might get to see more of Brad Inman in the future. His debut campaign was very promising, particularly his versatility in the final third.
Western United are sitting in ninth position out of 12 teams in the A-League right now and could use Inman’s influence to regain some form and rise in the standings. The former Newcastle United academy player will bring lots of experience to the team, having played over 200 games in the lower divisions in England.
