The tactician also remarked that the Blues could have controlled the game against the Marina Machans in the first half.
Bengaluru FC interim coach Naushad Moosa counted his side lucky in their game against Chennaiyin FC, as the two teams played out a stalemate in the Indian Super League on Friday night.
Despite both teams getting chances on the night, Chennaiyin came the closest with a couple of shots that hit the woodwork and other chances that they spurned, to share the spoils with their rivals.
Lucky against Chennaiyin?
Speaking about the result, Naushad Moosa counted his team to be at luck's end, saying, "To tell you the truth, we were lucky. They got a lot of chances that they missed. The way we played in the first half, it is not the way we play and not how we wanted to play. We recovered in the second half and had more of the ball, which is what we wanted to do.
"It is great that we have had two clean-sheets in the last two games. But, seeing the points table, I think it is more important to get wins at the moment," he added.
Prior Injuries ruined game?
Bengaluru FC came into the game with many injuries, as Rahul Bheke, Juanan, and Leon Augustine missed the action. As a result, the Blues found it tough to replace such key players and Moosa addressed the selection issues. "It is a problem. But, we have to play with what we got and we have to be professional about it."
Team's Gameplay
Most of the chances in the game fell to the Marina Machans. Bengaluru seemed more sedate and willing to take the backseat.
"I guess we could've controlled the game in the first half, the way we did with East Bengal. I think that would've been better and if we are more calm and composed, we could've created some better chances. We had to be more compact with the way they were using the flanks. The way (Manuel) Lanzarote moved the ball around, we had to be careful," he remarked.
Positive Result?
Bengaluru FC would've seen it as a chance missed to get themselves closer to the playoffs spots, but Naushad Moosa intends to stay positive on the result.
"Not really (on Bengaluru losing momentum with the draw). The boys are giving their best. They know the importance of the matches that are coming up, the one against ATK Mohun Bagan, so we have to be careful," he concluded.
