The tactician also revealed that he feels the Gaurs are playing well.

It is do-or-die for Juan Ferrando and FC Goa. After a stuttering start to the season, the Orange Army need to buckle up and grab their first win against another battered side in Kerala Blasters. The Gaurs will look to continue their dominance, but unlike the other games they badly need to get a result.

Head coach Juan Ferrando understands that his team have been playing well, but results are needed to validate the same.“ Sometimes the team was good at building up the play, sometimes in the positioning, but the most important thing is to find the space and use it. We are working on these details . I know we are doing good. But, it is necessary to take our results.”

Spanish striker Igor Angulo also feels that despite all the good play, results are necessary. “I think we are playing good. We were dominating the last few games. We had control of the games. But, unfortunately, we couldn’t win. For me, it was a good start to the season because I scored three goals in the last three games. But, I would trade all the goals for victories. The most important thing is to win.”

The forward also feels that more teammates need to grab chances and convert, if Goa is to produce a steady stream of wins. “We are attacking a lot. We have much better possession of the ball than the opposition. We have to create more clear chances not only for me. Everyone has to score, not only me. ”

The former Volos boss, Juan Ferrando has used different starting lineups for all three games. The tactician feels the need to adapt and change the formation and personnel depending on the strengths and weaknesses of the opposition.“ We study the opponent and we decide the best XI. We have one focus, but at the end the most important  in training to check the players and decide the best XI. I don’t think about it like having one first XI. We work during training and then decide the best XI before the matchday ”

The Goa head coach also acknowledged the Kibu Vicuna-led Blasters, praising them for their style of football. “The supporters will enjoy the game. Two teams that try to play football. Tomorrow On the pitch there are 22 very good players, with quality, good mentality. It will be a beautiful game tomorrow.”

The Spaniard also knows his target for the upcoming encounter. “My target is day-by-day. It is necessary to continue our plan to improve the players as a team. I hope game-by-game we get better. For example, tomorrow we need to play better than we played against NorthEast.“

Igor Angulo had high praise for Indian midfielder Brandon Fernandes, who has been a key presence behind all three of FC Goa’s goals, providing one assist and two key passes. “Brandon is a quality player, very important for us, especially in terms of the last pass. I hope, day-by-day to keep improving my connection, not only with him but all my teammates. I hope we are going to see a better Goa and we see this in the results as well.”

With lack of results, Ferrando’s seat is heating up. It is however, part of the job. “I have pressure everyday. Not only with respect to results. I know we only have three points.”

But, Juan Ferrando sees a positive sign despite the rough start, especially in the form of support from his players. “I am so happy because the team is not so worried or upset. They are working hard. They continue working. This is a good sign. They believe in this way. They believe in everybody and it is very important,” he concluded
