The FC Goa tactician heaped praise on his players for displaying a never-say-die attitude throughout the game.
After a game of two halves. Juan Ferrando and FC Goa managed to eke out a win against a tough Jamshedpur FC, thanks to a last-minute goal from Igor Angulo. The Spaniard slotted in his second of the night in the dying moments of the game, after scoring a penalty earlier to level the scores. Jamshedpur had taken the lead after Stephen Eze scored from a set-piece. After the game, Ferrando spoke to the media.
Ferrando on the tight scheduling of FC Goa's matches
The game seemed to be slipping away from the Gaurs in the first half, before a valiant effort from the team turned the tide. “It was a difficult game because when you play four games in 10 days, it is very difficult to prepare for all the teams in a short period of time. I am very happy for the character the team showed today.”

The tight schedule has been posing several problems for FC Goa, with the Jamshedpur encounter being their fourth match in a short span of time. “Performance feels tired at this moment. It is very difficult when you play so often. For example, Romario (Alexander Jesuraj) was tired because when you play four games in such a short time it is very difficult. Not only the physical condition, but the mentality and stress. Now, we have time to prepare for Hyderabad.”
Ferrando on his team's attittude
Juan Ferrando commended his team’s never-say-die attitude that eventually gave them the victory and much-needed three points. "In the end, the most important thing for us was working for 90 minutes. This is our mentality, to work until the last moment.”

Ferrando on what the future holds for FC Goa
He also urged people to not view his Goa side as a one-year project, but something that will be beneficial for the team in years to come. “We are building the team. I know after eight games, it is not normal to keep building. This squad has Princeton (Rebello), Devendra (Murgaonkar), Sanson (Pereira) – A lot of talented young players. They need more time to be experienced. This is the future of Goa.”
