The Scotsman spoke ahead of his side's clash against FC Goa on Wednesday.

Jamshedpur FC's six game unbeaten streak will be put to the test when they take on FC Goa in their next Indian Super League fixture. The Gaurs are coming into this fixture with consecutive losses and will be eager to get back to winning ways. Jamshedpur FC head coach Owen Coyle feels confident that his boys can put up a good performance against the league-toppers from last season.

Mood in the camp

Speaking about the mood in the camp ahead of the game, Coyle said, "The boys have been good as before every game, they have worked hard in the training session. I have got a wonderful group to work with, they are very professional, very disciplined and motivated. They want to continue the unbeaten run and equally make sure that they try to win the match."

Jackichand Singh’s role

Jackichand Singh has been a revelation for the Men of Steel this season with three assists. The Manipuri winger played as a No. 10 in the last match against NorthEast United and came up with a game-winning assist. Therefore, when quizzed whether Jackichand will again be preferred as a No. 10, Coyle did not give anything away.

"Well, we would not like to give anything away, but we do have players who can step in. We've been hampered by injuries and I think we have been a warrior team. We have been excellent working our way through injuries and that forced Jackichand to play as a No. 10. So, we do have options, we have some attacking options and we have to utilize that in the game. We need to be at our very best against a good side. It is a game we are looking forward to," the Scotsman added.

Importance of Aitor Monroy’s return

FC Goa were beaten in midfield against both ATK Mohun Bagan and Chennaiyin FC in their last two matches. Therefore, in a match where the midfield battle will be crucial, Owen Coyle highlighted the importance of Aitor Monroy's return from suspension.

"It is always nice when you get a quality player like Aitor back in your team. He is a wonderfully gifted player and a very good professional. He also sets a great example for the younger players. So, when you have those players available to you, then it always helps the team. That being said, the boys have done really well and so it's always difficult picking a team, when the team is playing well. That's what we want. That's a problem that every coach would love because everybody is in form and they are doing well."

Wary of FC Goa’s threat

Owen Coyle feels confident that his men can go for yet another win against FC Goa, but the former Wigan tactician is wary of the problems that the opposition can cause. "We cannot affect the matches that are gone, but we can affect only what's to come and that's why we need to be at our very best from the first minute to the last against FC Goa.

“They have some wonderful talented individual players and as I say, they can cause you problems. We have to make sure we solve those problems on the field and look to give them problems of their own. We know if we continue in the form we are in, we have a real chance to get all three points."
