The Scotsman praised new signing Boris Singh and revealed his plans for using him in the upcoming games.

Jamshedpur FC will be keen to build on their last win when they face SC East Bengal next in the Indian Super League. A win in this match will keep Owen Coyle and Co. in touching distance of the playoffs.

SC East Bengal's threat

The head coach, who was delighted after Jamshedpur's last win, feels that SC East Bengal are no pushovers. He feels that Robbie Fowler's men did not play to their standards in their defeat against Bengaluru FC.

"That is a game you can go back and the bottom line is SC East Bengal are a very dangerous team. By their own standards, they did not perform well last time out against Bengaluru FC. So, now they will be looking to try and win the game to keep themselves in contention. We have to concentrate on that, be very respectful of the qualities they have and equally look to impose ourselves. That will be the key to the game," Owen Coyle said at the pre-match press conference.

Continue the good work

SC East Bengal will be missing their leader in defence Danny Fox for this fixture due to an injury. So, when quizzed whether he will take the attacking route against the Red and Gold, Owen Coyle answered, "We have to continue the work that we have been doing.

"The players have worked very hard to get three clean-sheets and scored the goal the other night. They could have had 3-4 goals, I think we had 23 chances and nobody in the league has had that many shots in a single game. So, we have to keep working hard, take each game at a time and look to win."

Boris Singh's signing

Jamshedpur FC were one of the busiest clubs in the January transfer window, as they roped in Farukh Choudhary and Seiminlen Doungel. But, the Men of Steel did not stop there, as they added Boris Singh on deadline day. Coyle opened up about the youngster and believes that he has a big future.

"He is a young player with plenty of pace and is very exciting. He is someone with a lot of potential just like we have in our squad. The players have been terrific. Boris joins the group just like Len and Farukh. Just like both the other lads, we hope that he also creates an impact moving forward.

"He has just come in and only had one training session, but he is a young player with potential. When the chance comes his way he has to grab it with both hands. But, we will ease him into the squad and will gradually take it from there," the Scotsman shared.

One game at a time

Lastly, the coach revealed how he is looking at each game at a time and not thinking about the bigger picture of the playoffs. Although his team have earned five points from the last three matches, Owen Coyle wants to live in the present.

"We only look ahead to the next game. If we started getting ahead of ourselves, then it does not help anybody. Coming on the back of three clean-sheets and three games unbeaten, we look to do the same and keep the run going," he concluded.
