The tactician felt his side did not come into the game against Kerala Blasters with a 'clear mindset'.
Hyderabad FC came up short on Sunday evening as they were defeated by Kerala Blasters in the Indian Super League. The Nizams dominated the possession for the majority of the game and had more shots, however, could not find the back of the nets. Following the defeat, Hyderabad FC head coach Manolo Marquez spoke in the post-match press conference.
“We lost the game because they played it with more attitude. Today is the day when one of the coaches is very angry. If the attitude fails you don’t win the game," he began.

"In the first minutes, when the score was 0-0 we were discussing on the bench that we were a very weak team. We had more clear chances but only for attitude they deserve to win this game,” Manolo Marquez added.
On Preparations In Last One Week
Both teams had a week off to prepare for this game, however, the Spaniard believes that they didn’t utilize the break properly.
“We played too many games with the same players and today, in the second part of the second half, we looked tired. I think we didn’t arrive for this game with a clear mindset,” he opined.
Players Warming Up In First Half
Several Hyderabad FC players were seen warming up during the first half of the game against Kerala Blasters on Sunday night. Asked whether he was not happy with the players on the pitch, Manolo Marquez answered, “For me, it doesn’t matter if he’s a foreigner or an Indian. If you don’t have the attitude you don’t need to come here and you should stay in the hotel."
"I’m very disappointed because my team didn’t run as them. Maybe it is also my mistake that I didn’t explain them well about what to do,” he continued.
On Liston Colaco
Youngster Liston Colaco had a better impact this season as a substitute, rather than being a starter. “Liston will start few games and in few games he will come as a substitute. But people need to calm down with him. It’s the first time that he is playing regularly," Manolo Marquez said.
"People say Liston is ready for national team but he is not yet ready. He needs to improve and he also knows it. He is also ready to work but people need to calm down with him,” he added.

Replacement For Joel Chianese
Talismanic winger JoeL Chianese suffered an injury against Bengaluru FC and has not featured for the team since. However, Manolo Marquez made it clear that they don’t wish to replace him.
“Joel is close but not ready yet. Even if we sign a player, it will be because we have six foreigners and the rules say that we can haven seven. We will see if we can sign any player because it is difficult due to the two weeks quarantine rules. Let’s see what happens. We have not decided,” he signed off.
