The Goan local played well against Chennaiyin FC in the last game and was quite impressive under the bar. Though things were a bit nervy initially, he managed to overcome the odds. Defensively, Blasters have shown a strong performance so far this season with Costa Nhamoinesu and Bakary Kone being the pillars. Albino Gomes also thinks the duo is one of the reasons that made him perform better. He said, “They have been solid in all matches that we have played. I think they give me more confidence to play and hopefully, we will do better in the upcoming matches."

“We are really working hard to get our first victory of the season and hopefully, it will come in the next match,” he added while throwing light on the mood in the dressing room ahead of their clash against FC Goa. Incidentally, Blasters are still starving for a win this season as they have drawn twice and lost once in the last three matches.

However, the team seems well-motivated and determined with their season goals as Albino Gomes said, “We expect to get as many points as we can so that we can go through to the playoffs and achieve our dreams to get the trophy,” as he signed off.
