The interim head coach of the Blues stressed on the importance of overcoming their ongoing difficult phase in the ISL.
Bengaluru FC coach Naushad Moosa was not unaware of the changes that the club have undergone in the last week. Title-winning coach and long-time Blues man Carles Cuadrat parted ways following an unsatisfactory set of results. The 49-year old highlighted how the club and players are dealing with this change.
Difficult times
“It has been a difficult time for everyone involved with the club. We need to overcome this and we are working on it. We had very little time between games after Carles left. I have been talking to the players and they are confident. The East Bengal performance was an indication of that. I do expect a better performance tomorrow,” revealed Moosa.

Tactical changes
“We created a lot of scoring opportunities. but did not convert these into goals. We are working on that and also on shooting on target and being more compact. In the second half, the players knew what they had to do, and they showed that. We will play attacking football and try to get some goals,” he added.
His team's belief in him
The former Mahindra United man also spoke about how it was important that the players believed in him post Cuadrat’s departure and that the belief did translate into the confident performance against East Bengal.
“We are watching them. They are not a bad team. They are a team who fights back. We cannot relax. No team is easy in this league, even if they are in the bottom half of the table. The players are aware of their roles and responsibilities. 10 games in hand and maybe for a good start we need to win against NorthEast United,” pointed out the interim coach.

Bengaluru FC youngsters
Moosa also went on to explain that the team would bring more youngsters into the lineup and give them more game-time in the coming weeks.
“We would like to bring in youngsters. If you see how Parag (Shrivas) played, he played well and unfortunately suffered an injury. We hope to give youngsters some game-time, around 30-40 minutes. We will see more youngsters in the team,” signed off Naushad Moosa.
