The SC East Bengal head coach and his assistant were show caused for two separate incidents pertaining to the same game.

SC East Bengal Head Coach Robbie Fowler, who is currently on a four-game suspension has once again been called upon by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) Disciplinary Committee for use of abusive language (in a post-game altercation against Hyderabad FC players) in their Indian Super League (ISL) match played on Friday, 12th February at the Tilak Maidan Stadium in Vasco, Goa.

Fowler has now been reported of 'hurling abuses towards the opponent team from the stands' in the fresh case reported by the AIFF DC.

AIFF has also announced that Robbie Fowler has time till 18th February to respond to the Show Cause Notice in his defence.

In a separate case however pertaining to the same game, SCEB Assistant Coach Tony Grant has been Show Caused for 'making derogatory comments against both Match Officials and Hyderabad FC Head Coach' in the post-match press conference.

Grant is required to respond to AIFF by 2 pm, 17th February.

Earlier this month, the AIFF disciplinary committee rejected a review plea by East Bengal to overturn Fowler's four-match suspension and INR 5 lakh fine. The club's head coach had made the comments against Indian referees following their 1-1 draw against FC Goa in the ISL on January 29. The legendary Liverpool's striker suspension will result in him missing the high-profile return-leg Kolkata derby against ATK Mohun Bagan on February 19. He can return to the sidelines only in his team's last league fixture against Odisha FC on February 27.

In their maiden ISL season, SC East Bengal are currently at ninth place on the points table, one point above Kerala Blasters who are at tenth. Odisha FC languish at the bottom with just nine points from 17 matches.
