The Mariners are now winless in their last thee, while the Marina Machans still unbeaten.

ATK Mohun Bagan’s winless run in the Indian Super League (ISL) continued, as they played out a 1-1 draw against the (still) undefeated Chennaiyin FC on Saturday.

The Mariners started the game strongly and got the lead through Liston Colaco in the 18th minute. However, the Marina Machans hit back with an impressive equalizer from Vladimir Koman just before half-time. oth teams eventually settled for draw. ATK Mohun Bagan are now winless in their three matches, while Chennaiyin FC have extended their unbeaten run to four games.

Here are the player ratings of both teams from the ATK Mohun Bagan Vs Chennaiyin FC match:

ATK Mohun Bagan (By Uttiyo Sarkar)

Amrinder Singh - 6.0

Much stronger in goal. Assertive in his goal, standing up strongly to the barrage of crosses sent in.

Ashutosh Mehta - 6.0

Mehta was quite industrious on the right, using his physicality to his advantage. Efficient with his defending, but struggled to create anything.

Pritam Kotal- 7.0

Proactive and aggressive with his defensive work. Came up with some clutch clearances and blocks. Did really well to keep Lukasz Gikiewicz quiet.

Tiri - 7.5

In his first appearance of the campaign, Tiri held the ATK Mohun Bagan backline together efficiently. Bit sloppy with his passing, but solid with defensive work, making seven clearances and five blocks to frustrate Chennaiyin.

Subashish Bose - 5.5

Defensively quite alert apart from few shaky moments – in which he allowed Thapa and Co. to create some chances. Made very little impact going forward.

Deepak Tangri - 6.5

Much more disciplined with his work in midfield and kept a calm temperament. Helped his side soak up pressure pretty well, being quite mobile with his timely challenges.

Joni Kauko - 5.5

Not as influential in a deeper midfield role. Failed to react sharply enough for the equalizer. Couldn’t do much to stop Chennaiyin’s dominance of possession and missed a big chance in the second half.

Manvir Singh- 4.0

Manvir looked quite clueless and ineffective on the right-wing. Unable to get anywhere near the goal or create any big chances.

Liston Colaco

Liston Colaco - 7.0

Oozing with confidence whenever going forward. Tormented defenders with his dribbles and pace. Produced a stunning finish for the opener.

Hugo Boumous - 5.5

Another frustrating night for the ATK Mohun Bagan's No.10. Went close to scoring twice, but was denied by poor luck twice. A bit sloppy with his passing and still doesn’t have the accuracy to get among the goals.

Roy Krishna- 7.0

Krishna was very proactive upfront. Dropped deep in midfield and in wide areas cleverly to create moves. Setup Liston’s strike with a beautiful pass.

ISL 2021-22 M25 Highlights: ATK Mohun Bagan Vs Chennaiyin FC

Chennaiyin FC (By Kaushik Vishwanath)

Vishal Kaith - 6.5

The Chennaiyin FC goalkeeper had a good game making four catches, although not being tested a lot by ATK Mohun Bagan’s frontline.

Reagan Singh - 7.0

The right-back put in a committed performance once again. He completed five crosses, two tackles, two clearances and one interception.

Slavko Damjanovic - 8.0

Once again, was a rock in defence for the Marina Machans. Arguably their most consistent performer this season. Completed three clearances, one interception and one blocked shot. Also completed 92% of his passes, the highest of any player on the pitch on the night.

Narayan Das - 8.0

Combined well with Damjanovic once again in central defence. Kept Roy Krishna and Co. quiet for most parts of the game. Completed six clearances on the night and finished 76% of his passes.

Jerry Lalrinzuala - 7.0

Another strong performance tonight from the diminutive left-back. Kept Manvir Singh and Boumous quiet on the left flank, which speaks volumes of his performance on the night. Finished with four crosses, two tackles and four clearances.

Ariel Borysiuk - 6.0

Put in a steady performance in defensive midfield. Completed 87% of his passes and created two chances. Also blocked two ATK Mohun Bagan shots and made one successful tackle.

Edwin Vanspaul - 5.5

Was rather reckless in attack, losing possession often and skying his shots. Had only one out of his five shots on target. But, he made up for it on the defensive front by completing three tackles and interceptions respectively as well as one clearance. He was taken off in the 73rd minute for Rahim Ali.

Anirudh Thapa - 9.0

Was aptly named “Man of the Match.” Put in a captain’s performance and once again led from the front. Played further up the pitch than usual and showed his class.

Thapa covered the most ground (9.5 kms) by any player on the night. He created two chances, completed two crosses, two tackles and three interceptions. He had the second-highest number of touches of any Chennaiyin FC player and completed 73% of his passes.

Vladimir Koman

Vladimir Koman - 8.5

Struck an absolute peach to give his side the equalizer. Once again showed his quality with an all-round performance. Koman’s tireless work-rate was visible as he covered the second-highest distance by any player on the night (9.4 kms).

Koman had the most touches of any player on the night (92) and completed 65% of his passes. He also showed his defensive quality completing three interceptions, two tackles and a clearance.

Lallianzuala Chhangte - 6.5

Gave it everything but couldn’t influence the game on the attacking front a lot. Had a few half-chances, but couldn’t make the most of them.

Nonetheless, Chhangte made the most sprints on the night and created two chances. He also completed 100% of his tackles and made three interceptions on the night.

Lukasz Gikiewicz - 5.0

Despite his best efforts, he wasn’t able to impress on his first start. Did try to impose himself on the opposition, but didn’t get on the end of a lot of good chances. It was a touch off him though that helped Vladimir Koman slam in the equalizer for Chennaiyin FC.

Otherwise, only 58% pass completion, one clearance and a cross capped off a rather frustrating night for the Polish forward. Giekiwicz didn’t even have a shot on the night, a disappointing return for him in his first start. He was taken off in the 83rd minute for Mirlan Murzaev.

Substitutes

Mirlan Murzaev - 6.0

Came on in the 83rd minute for Lukasz Giekiwicz. Showed some sprightly moves and the instinct to attack for goal. Created one chance in the seven minutes he got to play.

Rahim Ali - 6.0

Came on in the 73rd minute for Edwin Vanspaul. Showed great work rate off the ball, but some disappointing touches on it. But completed one interception and 100% of his eight passes in his 17-minute cameo.
