Nandhakumar had put the Juggernauts ahead in the eighth minute.

In a tight playoff race clash in Bambolim, Bengaluru FC took home three vital points with a win against Odisha FC. Speaking of the events, Nandhakumar opened the goalscoring early in the eighth minute for OFC. But a fine header from Danish Farooq off a Naorem Roshan set-piece put BFC level. In the second half, Cleiton Silva put Bengaluru FC ahead from the spot after Odisha full-back Lalruatthara brought Udanta Singh down inside the box.

From the resultant penalty, Cleiton send Kamaljit Singh the wrong way to score, which eventually proved to be the winner. Bengaluru FC now retain themselves in contention for the playoffs, with two more games to go. Marco Pezzaiuoli's side moved to fifth with 26 points, just one behind the fourth-placed Kerala Blasters who have played two games less.

Here are the ratings for the game:

Bengaluru FC 2-1 Odisha FC Match Highlights

Bengaluru FC (by Ujyant Ramesh)

Lara Sharma - 7.5

The Bengaluru FC goalkeeper made some great well-timed rushes throughout the game to neutralize multiple Odisha FC attacks. What stood out though was an outstanding outstretched diving left arm save that denied Issac his chance to equalize.

Namgyal Bhutia - 7.0

Played 61 minutes tonight. While present, he excelled both defensively as well as in offence, with a whopping 92% passing accuracy from his 24 passes. He also made four interceptions, three clearances and was involved in four duels.

Pratik Chaudhari - 6.0

Made a crucial mistake early on — mistiming and completely missing his clearance of Jonathas de Jesus' ball leading to Lara rushing out and a goal from Nandhakumar.

Alan Costa - 7.0

Made a crucial block in the 57th minute to deny Jonathas, along with a flying-headed clearance in the 91st to stop Javi Hernandez from equalizing.

Roshan Singh - 8.0

Was back into the side after serving a suspension last game. Assisted Danish Farooq's equalizing header with his brilliant corner.

Danish Farooq - 8.0

Scored BFC's equalizer in the 31st minute with a sublime header off Roshan's corner. However, he also picked up a yellow card — his seventh of the season that now sees him suspended for the next game.

Ajay Chhetri - 7.5

Although he completed the most passes in the game (44), Chhetri was a bit sloppy at times in the same — mistiming them as well as a few of his runs. Either way, he was involved throughout with eight overall duels and 62 touches; the highest amongst his midfield peers.

Bruno Ramires - 7.5

In midfield, he had a mixed performance tonight with 100% tackling accuracy and 10 recoveries, while also losing 10 duels. However, he also tried his luck in attack, creating the highest number of chances in this game (3).

Bruno also had two chances to score — in the fifth minute via Roshan's low ball and another volley in the 52nd after Prince Ibara's shot was saved by Kamaljit Singh.

Prince Ibara - 5.5

Had a brilliant chance in the 52nd minute, but his shot was well-saved by Kamaljit in goal. Had three shots overall, but was dispossessed multiple times, lost six out eight duels he was involved in and also picked up a yellow card for rash play, which he was involved in thrice in the game.

Udanta Singh - 7.5

Had one of his best performances this season with multiple runs towards the far post, crosses from near the corner flag, winning eight duels and a 100% tackling accuracy.

Though it looked like he could've gotten himself on the scoresheet, he was fouled four times throughout, denying him his opportunities via his well-known pace.

Cleiton Silva - 8.0

Scored a calm and composed penalty in the 49th minute. Alongside Udanta, he was the most creative player in Bengaluru FC's attack, delivering multiple long balls, making several runs towards and into the box as well as having a 92% passing accuracy from his total 25 passes in the game.

Substitutes

Sunil Chhetri - 5.5

Replaced Prince Ibara in the 59th minute. Nothing much from him tonight, as he had just 10 touches and committed some fouls after coming on.

Yaya Banana - 6.0

Replaced Namgyal Bhutia in the 59th minute. Similar to the last game, he excelled in his long balls as well as overall passing, delivering three of the former and an 89% accuracy for the latter.

Sarthak Golui - N/A

Late substitution as he came on for Cleiton Silva in the 86th minute after the Brazilian picked up what looked like a hamstring injury.

Odisha FC (by Abinash Sahu)

Kamaljit Singh (GK) - 6.0

Conceded from a corner, where he missed the ball by an inch that eventually found the head of Danish Farooq. He denied some shots, but was not too decisive with long balls.

Lalruatthara - 6.5

Picked up his fifth yellow of the season at the 40th minute. He pushed Udanta recklessly that cost the Juggernauts a second goal.

Hector Rodas - 6.0

The Spaniard had left his marker unmarked, which could have been a threat during the 43rd minute.

Victor Mongil (C) - 5.5

Didn't have much impact. Often seen exhausted. Was subbed off just after the hour mark.

Sahil Panwar - 7.5

Some successful dribbles, brilliant long runs and good defensive presence. He had a display of individual brilliance.

Thoiba Singh - 6.0

More effective in the defensive third rather than the midfield. Often seen at the backline. He won a couple of aerial balls too.

Isaac - 6.0

Nearly 70% passing accuracy, a shot on target and some crucial tackles. But he was seen losing balls trying unnecessary crosses.

Jerry - 6.0

He was seen getting dispossessed a couple of times and didn't have a significant impact on the field. Attempted some dribbles but succeded in none.

Javi Hernandez - 7.0

Had some great through balls, a brilliant passing accuracy and some outrageous challenges. Couldn't register himself on the scoresheet. Javi was the best player for Odisha and threatened the Bengaluru FC backline on numerous occasions.

Nanda Kumar - 7.5

Scored a goal in the ninth minute of the game. He was also present in the defensive third whenever the team needed him. Not that great in short passes but he was donning the aerial balls. Missed an open chance just before halftime.

Jonathas - 6.5

Had some chances, also had nearly 75% passing accuracy. But couldn't convert some clear chances. Often dispossessed at the attacking third.
