This was the first time Kerala Blasters secured consecutive wins and clean-sheets in the ISL in their history. Meanwhile, Chennaiyin FC slipped down to the sixth place on the standings following the defeat . Let's take a look at how did the players from both sides performed on Wednesday night.
Chennaiyin FC (by Rajdeep Saha)
Vishal Kaith (GK) - 5.0
The goalkeeper had a night to forget. He registered three saves in the match but his decision making skills cost him dearly. His poor clearance resulted in Kerala’s second goal.
Reagan Singh - 6.0
The right wing-back looked lively and had two successful long balls under his belt. Defensively, he made an important clearance off the line, but failed to win any of his duels.
Ariel Borysiuk - 6.0
The defender excelled in his passing against Kerala Blasters (82% accuracy), but wasn’t adept defensively. He had a single clearance and interception in his name.
Slavko Damjanovic - 6.5
Damjanovic was one of the best players for Chennaiyin on Wednesday night. He won two ground and six aerial duels. He also had success in completing seven of his 13 long balls, and had an 81% passing accuracy

Narayan Das - 6.0
The Indian full-back was part of a back-three and held his own in some occasions. While one of his errors almost resulted in a goal, he made three interceptions and as many clearances. He wasn’t effective in playing the long balls to the forwards.
Jerry Lalrinzuala - 6.0
The left wing-back performed his duties quite well. He completed three of his six long balls, and won four of his five ground duels.
Anirudh Thapa - 6.5
The skipper displayed good ball retention skills, as he made three interceptions and as many tackles. Thapa wasn’t lucky with the crosses, but was effective winning one-on-one situations (six ground duels won out of nine).
Vladimir Koman - 5.5
The influential Chennaiyin FC midfielder was quiet in the first half’s proceedings against Kerala Blasters. In the opening half, he lost the ball 13 times, and had a passing accuracy of 64%, a measly number for his standards.
Germanpreet Singh - 5.5
He completed 11 out of 14 of his passes, amounting to a 79% accuracy. The midfielder, who played on the left side, couldn’t make much impact. Singh had the chance to equalize in the first half, but put the shot wide of the mark.
Mirlan Murzaev - 7.0
The forward was Chennaiyin’s best player on the pitch. He was instrumental in creating chances. He had two key passes, and a brilliant 86% passing accuracy.
Lallianzuala Chhangte - 5.5
The speedster was invisible in his 45 minute stint. Apart from a commendable 70% passing accuracy, he couldn’t produce a single cross or shot.

Prabhsukhan Singh Gill (GK) - 7.5
Albino's injury is Gill's gain and how well he's risen to the occasion. Another great day in the office with a handful of brilliant saves.
Harmanjot Singh Khabra - 7.0
The Kerala Blasters right-back silenced several Chennaiyin FC attacks. He won all but one of his duels. Helped a great deal in build-up play.
Ruivah Hormipam- 7.0

Excellent in build-up play, 85% of his passes were accurate. Kerala Blasters have signed a great ball-playing defender in him. He didn't forego his primary duties in defence either.

A good shift on the left flank. Made a vital clearance in the first half. Completed 36 out of the 41 passes he attempted.
Sahal Abdul Samad - 7.5
Another match, another goal for the Indian international. Attempted three dribbles and completed one, also made some important interceptions. Can do better in passing.
Jeakson Singh - 7.0
A no-nonsense performance from the former FIFA U-17 World Cup star. Broke down at least 10 attacks, completed 88% of his passes.
Puitea - 7.5
His biggest contribution of the night was an inch-perfect assist for Jorge Pereyra Diaz. Partnered well with Jeakson in the midfield and helped in build-up play.

Adrian Luna - 8.5
The best player of the match. Finally scored his maiden goal in the league and it was well-deserved. Scored, helped in build-up play, tracked back to defend — the former Melbourne City man was simply everywhere on the pitch.
Alvaro Vazquez - 7.5
Couldn't score a goal despite getting some chances and he'll be regretting it. Barring that, a good performance from the Spaniard as he made some dangerous runs and also tried to create chances.
Jorge Pereyra Diaz - 7.5
The Argentine has now scored in consecutive games in the ISL. Could've scored one more but his shot was off-target.
