The victory took the Men of Steel to second place in the points table.
Jamshedpur took yet another step close to securing a playoffs berth after thumping Chennaiyin FC 4-1 on Sunday. Ritwik Das opened the scoring for the Men of Steel in the 22nd minute which was doubled by Boris Singh 11 minutes later. Daniel Chima then made it 3-0 to good for Owen Coyle's side before Greg Stewart's shot took a sweet deflection off Deepak Devrani and moved into the net in the first minute of the second half.
Down by four goals, Chennaiyin pulled one back through Nerijus Valskis in the 61st minute, but it was mere consolation with Jamshedpur FC romping home quite comfortably in the end. The win took Owen Coyle's men to second with 31 points from 16 games, one behind league leaders Hyderabad FC with a game in hand. Chennaiyin FC, meanwhile, remained at eighth - their playoffs chances not out of bounds.
On that note, let’s have a look at the player ratings for this match.
