The 23-year-old Nigerian had signed a short-time deal with the Red & Gold Brigade.

After an impressive debut season for SC East Bengal in the Indian Super League, Bright Enobakhare is currently in contention to leave the Red & Gold Brigade ahead of the new season. The Nigerian attacker has received offers from England and Cyprus and is poised to leave Indian shores, Khel Now understands.

According to reports in England, EFL Championship side Coventry City are interested to bring back the striker, who had a brief loan spell with them in 2019. The club could offer him a lucrative deal, in a chance to reignite his career in England.

Bright's previous stint with Coventry City saw him make 18 appearances, scoring six times and registering three assists.

Apart from England, the 23-year-old has received an offer from an unnamed Cyprus-based club, a source close to the development revealed to Khel Now.

The representatives of the striker have offered a replacement for the Nigerian to the Kolkata-based club. However, the club are currently unable to sign any new players due to a transfer ban imposed on them by FIFA and an ongoing tussle between club officials and the investors, Shree Cement.

Bright Enobakhare won many plaudits for to his performance with SC East Bengal in the debut season of the ISL. Robbie Fowler also went on to admire the striker, who scored three goals and made an assist in 12 appearances.

East Bengal finished third from bottom in the standings with only 22 goals to their name, third lowest in the Indian top flight league in the 2020-21 season.
