The Mariners slipped down from the top four spots, while the Men of Steel climbed to the second place on the standings.

ATK Mohun Bagan suffered their second consecutive loss in the ongoing Indian Super League (ISL) season on Monday as Jamshedpur FC beat them 2-1. The Men of Steel took the lead in the 37th minute, when Seiminlen Doungel finished off a smart move in an emphatic fashion.

The Mariners pegged on for the equalizer, but to no avail. Instead, Jamshedpur doubled their lead in the 84th minute, thanks to a beautiful strike from super-sub Alex Lima. Pritam Kotal pulled one back controversially in the 89th minute, to give ATK Mohun Bagan some hope. However, that only proved to be a consolation, as Jamshedpur handed the Mariners consecutive losses and moved themselves to the second place.

Let's find out how did the players of both teams performed on Monday evening.

Jamshedpur FC (by JN Balraj)

Rehenesh TP (GK) - 6.0

He had nothing much to do despite the presence of lethal attackers in opposition. Made two saves. Left his goal line very often which could have resulted in goals on any other day.

Dinliana - 7.0

Put in a tireless shift and performed well to keep ATK Mohun Bagan's attackers at bay. He was good on the ball and won 100% all duels (4) he competed. Defensively, he made two clearances.

Peter Hartley - 6.5

Was not at his best and committed rash challenges a few times. Lost possession in dangerous areas. However, he made a crucial clearance and prevented the ball from reaching Roy Krishna.

Eli Sabia - 7.0

The Brazilian defender was rock solid and produced an immense display at the heart of defence. He made several crucial clearances and won four of his six duels. He was good on the ball too.

Ricky Lallawmawma - 7.0

Ricky was really impactful for Owen Coyle's team, and worked really hard to keep Manvir Singh away from making any impact in the game.

Pronay Halder - 6.0

He saved Jamshedpur from conceding twice with his tackling and kept them in the game in the first half. However, he should have impacted the game more defensively and going forward.

Jitendra Singh - 8.0

The youngster was by far the best player on the pitch. He delivered an all-round performance, contributing both offensively as well as defensively. Apart from his beautiful assist, he also made two clearances with five tackles.

Seiminlen Doungel - 7.0

He had an unlucky injury and was subbed before the half time but did enough to impact the game before leaving the pitch. Scored Jamshedpur's opener in the 37th minute. Doungel was good defensively as well with three tackles and one interception.

Komal Thatal - 4.5

The starlet had a night to forget against his former team. He did not make any impact in the game both in defence and attack and will look to improve in future.

Greg Stewart - 8.0

Greg continued his scintillating form and was Jamshedpur FC's best man in attack with his dynamic display. He forced an exemplary save off Amrinder Singh and completed 23 of his 32 passes.

Nerijus Valskis - 6.0

Valskis was the lone striker, spearheading Jamshedpur's attack. Managed to register a few key passes for Greg Stewart and had 27 touches in the game.

Substitutes

Alex Lima - 7.0

Alex Lima was on the pitch for only 14 minutes and his goal proved to be the difference between these two sides at the end.

Boris Singh - 6.0

The youngster replaced Seiminlen Doungel after his unlucky injury and registered an assist, one clearance and six passes.

Narender - N/A

Came on late, could not impact the result.

Jordan Murray- N/A

A last-minute substitution, did not make any impact.

ISL 2021-22 M20 Highlights: Jamshedpur FC Vs ATK Mohun Bagan

Amrinder Singh (GK) – 6.0

Made some nice and sharp saves to keep ATK Mohun Bagan in the game. Impressive with distribution and unable to do much for either goal.

Pritam Kotal – 7.0

Kotal played at the centre of the Mariners' defence and put in an industrious shift. Made five tackles and two interceptions as well as kept Valskis quiet. Very lucky to pull one back for his side.

Carl McHugh – 6.5

Much more comfortable in his natural midfield role. Worked hard in midfield, making four tackles and as many blocks – but lacked any creativity in moving the ball forward.

Sumit Rathi – 4.5

Looked too overeager to impress. Hasty and sloppy with some challenges, leading to trouble. Overcommitted too easily, leading to Len’s opener.

Asutosh Mehta – 6.0

Quite composed and assertive at the back. Worked hard to nullify Jamshedpur's threat and limit crosses from his side. Could’ve perhaps done better to close down Lima for his goal. Helped set up Pritam’s strike with a fortunate touch.

[KH_ADWORDS type="2" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]

Lenny Rodrigues – 5.5

Struggled to stop Jamshedpur’s swift breaks down the middle and failed to assert his authority in midfield. Still not the industrious midfielder he normally is.

Joni Kauko – 7.0

Against Jamshedpur FC, Joni Kauko continued his impressive start to the season for ATK Mohun Bagan. Won many key battles and very clever with his movement and link-up play. Carried the ball forward well, did defensive duties diligently and created a big chance for Krishna which should’ve been scored. Nearly scored himself later on, with a thunderous strike going wide.

Subhashish Bose – 5.5

Unable to make the same attacking impact as Liston, struggling to create much as a wing-back. Defensively, however, Bose was pretty solid –making some clutch challenges to avert disaster.

Manvir Singh – 5.0

Despite winning physical tussles, Manvir was inefficient in the final third. Failed to find anyone with his attempted crosses & unable to get into goal-scoring areas, limiting ATK Mohun Bagan’s attacking threat.

Hugo Boumous – 4.0

Boumous lacked decisiveness to set up goals for ATK Mohun Bagan. Got into some intelligent positions but just couldn’t pull the trigger early enough to create big chances. Another frustrating night for him and the Mariners.

Roy Krishna – 5.0

The ATK Mohun Bagan talisman worked hard to trouble the Jamshedpur FC backline, but was caught in some bad areas occasionally. Had a shot cleared off the line in the first half but unable to really test the keeper after that.

Substitutes

David Williams – 6.0

Saw a thunderous shot saved well late on.

Prabir Das – 6.0

Produced a lively cameo on the right, running up and down to help push on his side.

Liston Colaco – N/A

Helped create a few chances but unable to get on the scoresheet.
