The Incident

Mobashir Rahman was sent-off in the 68th minute against Hyderabad FC for kicking Akash Mishra after a challenge on him. As a result, the 23-year-old was shown a straight red card. The incident occurred when Mobashir challenged Mishra in an attempt to regain ball possession. With both players on the ground and their legs entangled, the midfielder appeared to kick Mishra with his right foot in the aftermath of the challenge. He was immediately given his marching orders.

The player has now been suspended for an additional game having already sat out of Jamshedpur's 5-1 win over Odisha FC. He will miss the team's final league stage match against ATK Mohun Bagan, which is a virtual knockout clash for the league Shield.
