The Men of Steel are now three points clear on top of the standings.
Jamshedpur FC marched a step closer to the League Winners' Shield, as they humbled neighbours Odisha FC 5-1 in a lopsided clash. Daniel Chima's brace and goals from Ritwik Das, Jordan Murray and Ishan Pandita helped the Men of Steel consolidate their position in the table, as the defensive woes continued for the Juggernauts.
Odisha FC conceded a couple of times in the first half and three more in the second, as they concluded their run this season with five consecutive winless matches. Jamshedpur FC, meanwhile, consolidated their place at the top and are now three points clear while Odisha finished seventh.
Here are the player ratings of both teams from the match.
Jamshedpur FC (By JN Balraj)
Rehnesh TP (GK) - 6.0
The custodian had one of the quietest outings against Odisha FC. Rehnesh failed to keep out the single attempt on goal.
Laldinliana Renthlei - 6.5
Renthlei made one interception, tackle and clearance each. He played three direct balls and won four of his five ground duels.
PC Dinpuia - 6.5
The youngster made his first start of the season. He made two clearances and interceptions to make his mark. He was good on the ball, with 41 passes at an exceptional 95% accuracy.
Eli Sabia - 6.5
Jamshedpur's Captain for the night, Eli Sabia was not troubled much by the Odisha FC attackers. Five clearances and two interceptions were enough for his side to get the three points.
Ricky Lallawmawma - 6.5
Ricky participated in the attack actively with Ritwik. He played five direct balls, delivered one cross and attempted a shot.
Pronay Halder - 6.5
Pronay had 38 touches in the game and played 27 passes. He made one tackle and played three direct balls. But, the midfielder was not at his best, as he lost possession frequently and was dribbled past four times.
Alex Lima - 7.0
The Brazilian was given the central role with Greg Stewart’s return. He created two chances, attempted a shot and played three long balls. Defensively, he made four tackles and one clearance.
Seiminlen Doungel - 7.0
The experienced wide midfielder was a livewire in the team's attack. In 38 touches, he played 13 passes and created one chance. He contributed defensively with six tackles.
Ritwik Das - 7.5
Ritwik continued to impress with his skills and composure in front of goal. The 25-year-old scored a brilliant goal and completed two dribbles. He made a tackle and interception too.
Greg Stewart - 9.0
The Scot delivered another magical performance on his return after suspension. Consequently, he hit the post in either half with a free kick from more than 25 yards and a curling shot at the near post respectively. Stewart created four chances and provided two assists, with as many shots on target.
Daniel Chima - 8.5
The Nigerian striker scored his first brace for Jamshedpur FC. He also created two chances and won four duels. Chima got close to a hat-trick and was unlucky not to score it.
Substitutes
Jordan Murray - 7.5
Australian forward, Jordan Murray scored once, created a big chance and made one clearance, all in the mere 20 minutes he got to play.
Sandip Mandi - 6.5
The local boy was brought in to replace Ritwik on the left flank. He made one tackle and won a duel.
Ishan Pandita - 7.5
Super-sub Ishan had 10 minutes under his belt. He scored in just six touches and made the scoreline 5-1.
Anas Edathodika - N/A
Came on in the 88th minute and committed more fouls (2) than touches on the ball (1).
Boris Singh - N/
He was also brought on around the same time. But with little time remaining, Boris couldn't do much.
Odisha FC (by Abinash Sahu)
Kamaljit Singh (GK) - 4.0
Lacking accuracy in long balls and short passes. The Odisha FC custodian definitely could've delivered better. He conceded a couple of times in the first half an hour only.
Sebastian Thangmuansang - 4.0
The 23-year-old was looking exhausted the way he was marking the opposition. He was leaving much wider spaces for the Jamshedpur FC attacks.
Hector Rodas - 4.5
He literally stood still and watched while Daniel Chima was scoring his second. He also had a miserable passing accuracy.
Victor Mongil - 4.0
Booked in the 25th minute for blocking Chima. No other move from the Odisha skipper was worth mentioning.
Sahil Panwar - 5.5
Some successful dribbles, brilliant long runs and good defensive presence. He had a display of individual brilliance, but the opposition was seen sneaking in from his flank.
Thoiba Singh - 5.5
More effective in the defensive third rather than the midfield. Often seen in the backline. He won a couple of aerial balls too. Had nearly 70% passing accuracy and some good dribbles. Booked after an unnecessary challenge on Greg Stewart.
Paul Ramfangzauva - 6.5
Scored the breakthrough goal which went in due to an error from TP Rehenesh. Surprisingly subbed off at half-time.
Jerry Mawihmingthanga - 5.5
Was dispossessed a couple of times and didn't have a significant impact. Attempted some dribbles, but succeeded in none. Assisted the first goal.
Aridai Cabrera - N/A
Subbed off in the 18th minute due to an injury and didn't have any sort of impact before then.
Nikhil Raj - 3.0
Didn't have much impact. An accuracy of 75% in short passes while poor in aerial balls. Subbed off at half-time.
Jonathas de Jesus - 3.5
Most likely, the Brazilian had left his shooting boots at the hotel room. In the 53rd minute, Jonathas rocketed a ball out of the park when clear on goal. He also had missed the shot that luckily found the net from Paul's foot. Picked up an unnecessary yellow for mocking the referee and match commissioner and was sent off.
Substitutes
Redeem Tlang - 5.0
A very little accuracy and some blunders in the offensive third. It didn't seem like he was playing in the country's top league.
Daniel Lalhimpuia - 5.0
An exceptional accuracy in short passes, Daniel did what he could've had done for his outfit. But, lack of consistency and determination from the midfield didn't allow him leave a footprint.
Issac Vanmalsawma - 5.5
Miserable in long balls, poor in passing accuracy, Vanmalsawama was able to initiate some attacking threat. But, he was not that effective in the attacking third.
Nikhil Prabhu - 5.0
A passive performance. He didn't deliver what was expected of him on debut.
