Preview: Jamshedpur FC, ATK Mohun Bagan lock horns in bid to return to winning ways

Both sides failed to clinch a victory in their previous game in the Indian top-flight league.
Jamshedpur FC will look to convert the draws into win against the heavyweight ATK Mohun Bagan, when they host the Mariners on Monday at the GMC Athletic Stadium. The Mariners began their campaign with two dominating wins, but were hammered by reigning champions Mumbai City FC in their previous game. Jamshedpur FC, on the other hand, have played out two draws and one win, and are yet to lose this season. Can Jamshedpur FC pile up on the misery of Habbas' side or ATK Mohun Bagan will return to winning ways? It all comes down to what transpires on the pitch on Monday. However, for now, let's take a look at the preview of the game.
The Stakes
Jamshedpur FC
The Men of Steel dominated the game against Hyderabad FC, but failed to find the back of the nets. They eventually dropped two points after Bartholomew Ogbeche scored the equalizer in their previous game. Owen Coyle's men created plenty of chances, but were blunt in attack. Nerijus Valskis and Dinliana failed to convert a number of chances. Greg Stewart put in a scintillating display on the pitch with his mazy runs and composed passing. He saw an excellent attempt denied by the post, while Valskis missed the chances he fed to him.

Despite poor defensive display from the Nizams, Jamshedpur FC failed to capitalise their chances. Riding on the back of decent individual performances, they will look to make most out of their opportunities against ATK Mohun Bagan and bag three points from this game.
Another draw or a loss will result in the loss of moral in the squad. Also, if Kerala Blasters manages to clinch a win on Sunday, Jamshedpur FC will come within striking reach of the southerners along with three more clubs in the standings. This could potentially hamper their chances of making it to the playoffs.
ATK Mohun Bagan
Before the league began, Antonio Habbas said that they can't afford to lose any match and he has a team whom he trusts and they know how to win every game. Once again they're one favourites to claim the League Winners Shield along with Mumbai City FC, so they'll want to get back to the winning ways and keep marching towards their goal.
Except their last game, Mariners have been dominant, the new signings have delivered and their star performer Roy Krishna has already bagged two goals this season. Liston Colaco has been clinical with his finishing this term, Seasoned professional Hugo Boumous scored a brace in his league debut for Mariners and Manvir has also caused worries to the oppositions.

The Mariners can't afford to drop points against Jamshedpur FC on Sunday. A draw or a loss will mean more distance from the top of the table and they will be within the striking reach of a number of clubs in the standings.
Team News
For Jamshedpur FC, Farukh Choudhary is out for the season due to his surgery. Jordan Murray is also doubtful for the game.
On the other hand, ATK Mohun Bagan will miss Deepak Tangri after he picked up a red card against Mumbai City FC. However, their Spanish defender Tiri is back from his injury.
Head-to-Head
Since ATK Mohun Bagan joined the league as a new entity, they have faced Jamshedpur FC only twice since then. Both sides have picked up one win respectively.
However, the erstwhile ATK had a much better record against the Men of Steel. The Kolkata-based side had faced Jamshedpur in six games, registering three wins compared to the latter's one. Two matches between the two sides had ended as draws.
