The tactician also revealed part of his plans for the ongoing transfer window.

Jamshedpur FC replaced Kerala Blasters as table-toppers after a hard-fought win against SC East Bengal. Ishan Pandita's sole strike in the dying minutes was enough to bag maximum points from the fixture. Although the all-Indian lineup of the Red and Gold stood toe-to-toe against Jamshedpur's strikers, it was Owen Coyle who had a smile on his face after the game. Here are the excerpts from the post-match press conference.

Thoughts on Ishan Pandita scoring another late winner

"Listen that's why I brought him to the football club. He is a wonderful player and is going to get better. Now, you see he is free-flowing, he is moving well. He had couple of chances before we actually got the goal.

"He's a natural finisher and if I continue to add (to his game) and improve his all-round game, the national team is going to have a fantastic No. 9, that's for sure. He is a great kid, everyone adores him because of the quality he has. He is a team player, so I can't speak higher enough about him," the coach opined of Ishan Pandita.

Thoughts on how difficult it was to break East Bengal's defence

The Red and Gold almost got a point from the game, if Ishan wasn't there. The coach spoke highly of East Bengal and he knew it was going to be difficult to break their defence.

"East Bengal have drawn four in their five games, against Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad. The only game they lost was against NorthEast, when their man got sent off. So, East Bengal have shown how difficult they are to beat. Of course, it took late in the game, but we could've easily scored three, four, five goals with the chances we had," Owen Coyle said.

Thoughts on league & being top of the table

"It's nice to be top of the table, everybody wants to be top of the table after 20 games, I love it. But, we certainly rather be there or not be there, we'll continue doing (what we can). We know we can go toe-to-toe with the best teams. We just have to make sure we're moving forward and doing the same things, working hard and the moment we get chances we have to be clinical. But, we've good goalscorers, we will look to add another one coming in and you know that will be real competition within the squad," the manger said.
