The Mariners slipped down to the fifth spot following the defeat on Monday evening.
ATK Mohun Bagan suffered their second successive loss in the ongoing Indian Super League (ISL) season on Monday, falling to a 1-2 defeat against Jamshedpur FC. Despite dominating possession, the Mariners just weren’t clinical enough. Goals from Seiminlen Doungel and Alex Lima condemned the Mariners to a disappointing defeat.
After skipping the post-match interaction following the 1-5 loss to Mumbai City in the previous week, Antonio Habas surprisingly attended it following the loss against Jamshedpur FC.
Thoughts on ATKMB's recent losses
Habas was extremely agitated after the game and addressed the problems behind ATK Mohun Bagan’s recent losses by explaining, “I’m always thinking about the next match. Now it’s impossible to solve the last matches. We need to improve evidently and have to be more respective towards the referees.”

Talking about his side’s goalscoring woes in the last two games, the Spaniard said, “We are not a fantastic unit. We are not in a good moment to play right now. We have to improve in the next matches.”
Thoughts on result and referee
Antonio Habas also spoke about Jamshedpur FC’s form by saying, “It’s difficult for me to comment on this. I don’t remember a situation in the second half of them scoring many goals, I don’t remember it. They had two possibilities to score and got them. But no excuses, the score is 2-1 and we have to improve.”

After the recent losses, the Spaniard was asked about whether he’s yet to find his best playing XI this season. He gave a rather surprising answer by hitting out at the referee.
“I don’t think that. In the first two matches, the team performed really well and after that, we didn’t. A lot of things have influenced the final score today.
“For me, the performance of the referee – he didn’t give us enough respect. We are professionals as well. The referee had to respect us, he had to repel the players on the pitch and the technical staff on the bench. He had absolutely no respect for us. I’m very, very angry for that. We’re professionals working to get good results for the club, but sometimes, it’s very, very difficult," Antonio Habas concluded.
The loss to Jamshedpur means that ATK Mohun Bagan have dropped out of the top four for the first time this season. They’re currently in the fifth place, three points behind league leaders Mumbai City. The Mariners will return to action on Saturday, when they face league rivals Chennaiyin FC.
