Jorge Pereyra Diaz scored and brace and Adrian Luna scored the third goal for Kerala Blasters.
Ivan Vukomanovic's Kerala Blasters kept their hopes of playing the playoffs alive by defeating Chennaiyin FC 3-0 in the Indian Super League. Jorge Pereyra Diaz showed the world what the Blasters were missing against Hyderabad FC, as he scored twice in the second half. Captain Adrian Luna scored the third goal from a gorgeous free-kick. Here is what Kerala Blasters boss Ivan Vukomanovic said at the post-match press conference.
Thoughts on His Team's Performance
Ivan Vukomanovic liked Kerala's performance in the second half more than the first. He stated that his team were nervous during the early phase of the game due to the pressure of winning.

"The circumstances when you play with more motivation, with more will to get the points - I think we showed that in the second half. In the first half, we were a little bit nervous. When you have the importance of a victory, then you've to be very concentrated with your passing and everything, but that wasn't the case. In the second half, after our talk in the dressing room, I think we were more clinical and efficient. And that resulted with the goals," the Kerala Blasters' head coach commented.
Jorge Pereyra Diaz's performance
The Serbian tactician missed Jorge Diaz in the game against Hyderabad FC, as the Argentinean forward was serving a suspension. However, it didn't take too long for him to make a difference.
"As a player when you miss a game, it's normal that you're hungry for goals, especially, when you're a striker. Jorge, as a striker, is very dangerous in the box. When he misses one game, he wants to be there and perform. We are happy with his performance," Ivan Vukomanovic explained.

Rahul KP Returns
Rahul KP featured in the game against Chennaiyin FC after missing more than three months of football. The Indian youngster last played on November 19th 2021. The head coach sees Rahul as a welcome addition and wants him to do well.
"He is coming from far away. He played his last game in the competition on 19th November and played his first game after so long. For a young player like Rahul KP, it's very important to be on the pitch. Because missing many games in short term here in India is not good.
"So now, we will help him collect many minutes and then he will come back in the shape, hopefully. We will continue working hard to build up the shape in the upcoming fixtures and seasons. We are very happy to have him back on the pitch because he's giving something that we were missing. He's a very good, positive person in the dressing room."
