The coach spoke on the back of his side's first loss of the season.
Chennaiyin FC's unbeaten start to the season finally came to an end at the hands of the defending champions Mumbai City FC. Bozidar Bandovic and Co. dug in well for what would've been a deserved point against the much-fancied Islanders. But, another poor decision from Vishal Kaith gifted Mumbai the winner 10 minutes from time. The goalkeeper's botched clearance allowed Rahul Bheke to head into an empty net.
The win places the Islanders firmly in the lead atop the table. Chennaiyin though have slipped down to the fifth spot with eight points.
A tough loss to take
Bozidar Bandovic would've felt the wind taken out of his sails, as his side stumbled to a defeat despite putting up a solid performance. A moment of madness snatched a deserved point away from them.
When asked about the result, he replied, "Emotionally, it is bad because I feel we deserve more. But, we need to keep working, we need to think about the next game. We need to be ready for that and we will be."

Moving ahead together
Bozidar Bandovic showed solidarity with his players after the result. He also backed Kaith whose error led to the defeat. Despite his error, the goalkeeper also made some good saves and kept his side in the game. Bandovic saw it as an opportunity to motivate his players.
"I totally support him. My players gave their best and these things happen. I totally support them. We did well in the second half and we could have scored. Had we scored, it would have been a totally different game," Bandovic replied reassuringly.
"I think we controlled the game defensively. We were much better in attack in the second half. I think we could have scored in the second half," he added before retiring for the night.
