The former Gaurs striker scored twice and Ygor Catatau added a third for the Islanders.
Mumbai City FC and FC Goa locked horns this evening in the Indian Super League (ISL), with the Islanders eventually emerging victorious. It was a tough day for the Gaurs, who are the only team in ISL 2021-22 who are yet to score a goal. The defending champions, meanwhile, are the first club to keep a clean-sheet this season.
Igor Angulo showed his class yet again with a brace. One of his goals came off the spot, while the other was a brilliant finish off a Raynier Fernandes assist. Ygor Catatau came on in the second half for Mumbai City and became like a super-sub to score a goal against the Gaurs with his first touch of the ball.
On that note, let's take a look at today's player ratings.

Mumbai City FC (by Riddhiman Sarkar)
Mohammad Nawaz - 7.0
Reliable set of hands with good presence of mind in collecting and clearing loose balls and making a fingertip save.
Mourtada Fall- 6.5
Apart from one instance of lapse in concentration, made solid clearances and was a set-piece threat.
Rahul Bheke – 7.0
Solid defensive awareness and good partnership with Fall. Made two clearances and one tackle.
Amey Ranawade - 6.5
Conceded possession early and was a bit shaky at times, but otherwise defensively sound.
Vignesh Dakshinamurthy - 6.5
Surging mazy run from deep only to be denied with a foul that would have surely been considered a penalty incident with the presence of VAR. Suffered an ankle injury and was subbed off early.
Ahmed Jahouh - 7.5
Pinpoint distribution and good positioning completing 35/43 passes.
Raynier Fernandes – 7.0
Showed immense expertise in dribbling. Delicate through ball to Angulo for second goal after delightfully spinning away from his two markers. Should've slotted in Mumbai's third, but hit the crossbar instead.
Bipin Singh – 7.0
Tracking back, good dribbling, intelligent runs with two shots on target summaries his outing.
Cassio Gabriel - 7.5
Good link-up play and 100% take on completion rate laid the foundation for a good debut.
Igor Angulo - 9.0
His active blindside running, combination play with Cassio and Raynier paid off for Mumbai City as he won a penalty against FC Goa. He also converted it brilliantly. Scored the second with a wondrous first touch and ice cold near post finish.
Lalengmawia – 7.0
Good display in midfield with supporting touchmap. Won 5/7 of his ground duels.

FC Goa (by Sattyik Sarkar)
Dheeraj Singh Moirangthem – 5.0
The keeper didn’t have a good day at the office with three goals going past him.
Sanson Pereira – 6.0
A few displays of skills were witnessed from FC Goa’s left-back, though his overall performance wasn’t up to the mark.
Ivan Gonzalez – 5.5
It wasn’t his day. Gave away a penalty in the first half and was looking a bit shaky. Was better in the second half.
Lalhmangaihsanga - 7.0
The debutant was perhaps the best player for FC Goa in the first half. His calmness was really outstanding though he made one major error in the first half.
Leander D’Cunha – 4.5
The young right-back needs improvement. Was continuously haunted by Bipin and co when Mumbai City FC were attacking.
Saviour Gama – 5.0
Played only the first half, not in his usual position but as a left-winger. Surely much more is expected of this talented young gun.
Edu Bedia – 5.5
The captain wasn’t at his best today. Went on to concede a yellow card as well.
Alberto Noguera – 6.0
A much better performance is expected from the Spaniard. It would be unfair to say that he didn’t try his best but could have done better.
Glan Martins – 6.5
The midfielder’s performance was full of ups and downs. Was giving his best. Once lost the ball in the second half but moments later, recovered it.
Alexander Romario Jesuraj – 6.0
The winger switched flanks with Gama and tried his level best but failed to create an impact.
Airam Cabrera – 5.5
It wasn’t an overwhelming debut for the FC Goa front-man. Perhaps a better physical condition would have made it better for him.

Played well after coming on in the second half. Missed a potential goal-scoring chance. Arriving from an injury, it can be said he gave his best.
