NEUFC boss Khalid Jamil lauds hat-trick hero Deshorn Brown

The head coach shared his thoughts on the game after the draw against Mumbai City.
NorthEast United held the defending champions Mumbai City FC to a thrilling 3-3 draw at the PJN Stadium in Fatorda. Khalid Jamil's side scored first, but found themselves trailing by two goals in the second half. However, Deshorn Brown pulled off a wonder and brought his team back on level terms.
The Jamaican inspired NorthEast United to a draw against the might Mumbai City with his first ISL hat-trick. After the match, head coach Khalid Jamil spoke to the media and shared and his thoughts on the game:
Importance of Deshorn Brown
The Jamaican missed three games in a row due to an injury, but came back with a bang. He scored a hat-trick on his return to the starting XI. Sharing his thoughts on the importance of the player, Khalid said, “(Deshorn) Brown came last year and helped us and this time also he helped us after coming back from injury. He combined well with Mathias (Coureur) and helped us. Sehnaj (Singh) and Pragyan (Gogoi) also did a good job in the centre.”

Role of other players in the team
It was a Deshorn show in action for the Highlanders. Khalid Jamil shared his thoughts on how important the other players were tonight and said, “I think everybody worked hard. Mathias played a crucial role in creating those goals for Brown. Imran (Khan), (Patrick) Flottmann, Hernan (Santana) and Chhara also did a good job today.”

Role of Imran Khan
The midfielder was on fire against the champions. Imran provided two assists and looked very good with his movement, both with and without the ball. Khalid said that he’s working hard and did well today.
“He’s working hard and we missed him at the start of the season. We changed his role and made him play wide to be the supply line for Brown. He provided two assists to Brown tonight,” asserted Khalid Jamil.
Update on Khassa Camara
Khassa Camara has been called up to join the Mauritanian national team for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). The tactician shared an update on him and said that he has left the bio bubble to join his national team. “Yes, he’s gone for the camp. Let’s see now what happens,” Khalid signed off.
