The victory marked The Juggernauts' league double over the Highlanders this season.
NorthEast United were on the receiving end on Tuesday night as Aridai and Daniel combined to guide Odisha FC to a win. The Highlanders did not train for around four days due to COVID-19 issues inside the bubble and looked out of sync for the majority of the game.
NorthEast United kept on pilling pressure on their opponents, but lacked the finishing touch. With this win, Odisha move to the fifth spot on the table while NorthEast continue to sit at 10th.
Let’s take a look at how the players from both sides performed on Tuesday night.
NorthEast United FC (By Yash Pratap Singh)
Mirshad Michu (GK) – 6.5
The keeper had a busy day between the sticks. He pulled off five saves and two clearances. Moreover, he stood tall in a 1v1 situation and made a good save.
Provat Lakra – 6.0
He didn’t have a good day at the office as his mistakes resulted in two goals for Odisha FC. However, he came up with an improved performance in the second half. Lakra was involved in the majority of NorthEast United's attacking moves and also defended well.
Mashoor Shereef – 6.5
Mashoor was involved on both ends of the pitch for NorthEast United against Odisha FC. He completed most of his long balls with a passing accuracy of around 80%. He made an interception, three clearances and tackles each.
Patrick Flottmann – 7.0
Flottmann maintained a good passing accuracy and completed more than 80% of his passes. He also won majority of his duels and also registered two blocks, six clearances and an interception and tackle each.
Gurjinder Kumar – 5.0
The NorthEast United left-back tracked back on time to keep a check on his marker on most occasions against Odisha FC. He lost the ball possession many times and was also involved in a couple of attacking moves.
Hernan Santana – 6.5
He was involved in both defence and offence for NorthEast United against Odisha FC. His left-footed volley found the crossbar and not the back of the net. Santana completed 90% of his passes, including a key pass.
Mohamed Irshad – 6.0
Tested Arshdeep with a clean strike on goal and was also involved in a couple of more attacking moves. He won five out his 11 group duels, completed three dribbles and made two clearances.
Sehnaj Singh – 6.0
Sehnaj was a solid figure in the middle of the park. He did the dirty work, played a couple of crucial passes and also maintained a passing accuracy of around 80%.
Imran Khan – 7.0
Imran was undoubtedly the best player for the Highlanders. He created chances, sent in good looking crosses into the box. He was also responsible for taking the set-pieces for NorthEast United against Odisha FC.
Mapuia – 5.0
Mapuia looked lively with his threatening runs in the attacking third and also contributed in defence. He missed a couple of big chances in the first half and was taken off at half-time.
VP Suhair – 7.0
Suhair looked good on either flanks and created a lot problems for Odisha’s backline. He attempted two shots, out of which one was on target. Moreover, he won majority of his ground duels and also helped in defence.
Substitutes
Lalanmawia Ralte – 5.5
He came in as a half-time substitute for Mapuia. Danmawia had a goal ruled out due to a miscommunication between the officials. He won two of his three ground duels and also pulled off a tackle.

Odisha FC (By Shivam Tiwari)
Arshdeep Singh (GK) - 6.5
Arsheep faced no real threat from the Highlanders' forwards as the Odisha FC defence constantly managed to keep their opponents at bay. He faced eight shots and had a 79% passing accuracy.
Lalhrezuala Sailang - 5.0
NorthEast United forward Suhair VP continuously troubled the young defender. The Highlanders' winger could find space on the left flank and put some dangerous crosses in the box. Sailang had zero successful tackles out of the three attempts and 11 completed passes.
Hector Ramirez - 8.0
Hector was instrumental in helping his team keep a clean sheet against NorthEast United. The Spanish centre-back was also crucial with his progressive passes. He finished with nine clearances and two successful tackles.
Victor Mongil - 7.5
While Hector was finding Aridai Suarez with his long-range passes, Mongil was making sure the team had possession of the ball when pressed deep in their defensive half. Victor played the safer passes to bring his teammates into the game. He completed 15% of his team's passes.
Sahil Panwar - 7.0
Sahil was the better of the two Indian fullbacks playing for Odisha FC against NorthEast United. He brought his best self against the Highlanders and made sure Hernan Santana and Imran Khan were ineffective on the right. He also contributed to his side's attack as he finished with two shots, one of which was on target.
Thoiba Singh - 8.0
With Javi Hernandez moving up and contributing to the attack, Thoiba Singh made sure the midfield of Odisha FC did not suffer as he constantly brought the play to a halt whenever the Highlanders were getting dominant. Thoiba either made a tactical foul or forced one on himself to buy enough time for his teammates to get back into the positions. He suffered four fouls in the game.
Javi Hernandez - 8.5
Javi pulled the strings of Odisha's attack from behind the forwards. His runs and combinations with Aridai Suarez always looked troublesome for the Highlanders. He created four chances and finished the game with an assist.
Isaac Chhakchhuak - 7.5
Isaac played the anchorman role for his team and was always the link between the defence and the midfield. His passing was precise, and he combined well with Thoiba to make sure Javi's runs didn't mean Odisha suffered in the midfield. He had eight tackles in the game.
Jerry Mawihmingthanga - 7.0
Jerry wasn't the star of his team's attack, but the Indian winger wasn't bad as well. His work rate ensured he didn't go unnoticed even when he wasn't doing much in the attack. Jerry had the most sprints of all the players on the pitch in the first half. He also created two chances for his team.
Daniel Lalhlimpuia - 7.5
Daniel scored what would be the easiest goal he has scored in his career. However, that was possible because the forward was smart enough to position himself in such a way that when he surged in the box, he could do so being unchallenged by the Highlanders' defence. He completed all his 11 attempted passes.
Aridai Cabrera - 9.0
Aridai was the star of the game for Odisha FC against NorthEast United as he constantly kept winning duels on his left flank. He combined with several Odisha FC players to trouble the Highlanders' defence. He finished the game with an assist and a goal and could have had more if he were not so eager to shoot from positions he shouldn't have.
Substitutions
Liridon Krasniqi - 8.0
Krasniqi came in to replace Aridai, and Odisha did not miss the star-performer of the first half because of Krasniqi's performance. In the 32 minutes he had on the pitch, the 30-year-old Malaysian created two chances for Odisha FC against NorthEast United.
Paul Ramfangzauva - 6.5

Nandhakumar was a counter to the increase in the attacking game of the Highlanders. His runs pinned the NorthEast defence down as he finished with a shot on target and created a chance.
Sebastian Thangmuansang - N/A
He had just nine touches in 10 minutes.
Akshunna Tyagi - N/A
