Ratings: Kamaljit shines yet again as Odisha FC, FC Goa draw

A highly exciting game between Odisha FC and FC Goa ends in a 1-1 draw.
It was Derrick Pereira’s first game in-charge after Juan Ferrando’s departure from FC Goa. The Gaurs had a dominant first half, where they took the lead thanks to a deft finish by Ivan Gonzalez. They continued with their possession-based football which did bear fruit.
It was in the 53rd minute when Jonathas de Jesus was at the right place at the right time. The forward equalized the score, which was the beginning of a more commanding performance from Odisha FC. Kiko Ramirez and Co. kept pushing for a winner, but the game ended with both sides sharing the spoils.

Kamaljit Singh (GK)- 7.0
He made two important saves in the first half, four in the whole game. Singh helped his team keep the score at 1-1. The goalkeeper prevented an own-goal in the last few minutes of the game.

Hendry Antonay- 5.5
The Odisha FC right-back was solid defensively as he made three clearances, two tackles and won three out of four ground duels against FC Goa. Going forward, he was poor as only four out of 15 long balls reached their target.
Hector Rodas- 6.5
The centre-back registered six clearances and two tackles. He was dominant in the aerial duels (five out of eight won).
Victor Mongil- 6.0
He had two clearances to his name and registered a 95% passing accuracy. Mongil couldn’t shield the ball from Ivan Gonzalez, but otherwise the defender had a decent outing.
Lalhrezuala Sailung- 6.5
The left-back had a good performance. Apart from the 83% passing accuracy, he made three clearances, two interceptions, and three tackles.
Vinit Rai- 6.0
The skipper was taken off after getting his name in the book. In the first half, he was brilliant in passing (94%) and was pivotal in stopping FC Goa’s play (two interceptions and aerial duels won).
Jerry Mawihmingthanga- 6.0
The winger had two key passes throughout the game and two tackles on the right channel of the pitch.
Isaac Vanmalsawma- 5.5
The midfielder couldn’t make any effect to the game. Apart from the 73% passing accuracy, he couldn’t find success with his crosses.

Javi Hernandez- 6.0
Tonight wasn’t the Spaniard’s best performance. The Odisha FC attacker couldn’t make any impact against FC Goa. The midfielder was efficient in his passing, completing four out of five long balls. He cleared the aerial balls thrice during his minutes.
Nandhakumar Sekar- 6.5
The winger put on a good shift on the left side, He completed 11 out of 15 passes, and had a good day defensively. He was successful in winning four out of five ground duels.
Jonathas de Jesus- 7.0
The striker was the sole goalscorer for Odisha FC. Although a lucky goal, he had the presence of mind for the movement. He had two shots on target and tried to create chances with two key passes.
Substitutes
Aridai Cabrera- 5.5
The attacking player did increase the spirit of his team after coming on and pressed a lot. He had one key pass and created a big chance in his thirty-minute cameo. Unfortunately, he couldn’t have an effect on the game.
Paul Ramfangzauva- N/A
He couldn’t do much in the last 10 minutes of the game.
Gaurav Bora- 5.0
He had one successful ground duel out of four. The defender made sure that they didn’t concede any more, but that’s it from his side.

In the second half, he had a passing accuracy of 81%, which included three successful long balls.
Liridon Krasniqi- 6.0
The midfielder was present on the pitch for only about 20 minutes. He had two big chances to take the lead, and was able to keep them on target. He was also four ground duels.

Dheeraj Singh- 6.0
Had nothing to do in the goal FC Goa conceded against Odisha FC. However, in a similar attempt, he again missed the flight of the ball. Luckily, didn’t concede from that attempt. Saved an attempted lob from Jonathas de Jesus.
Mohamed Ali- 6.0
Wasn’t up to the mark. Made one clearance, block, interception and tackle each. Won just one out of three ground duels and one out of two aerial duels. Lost the possession seven times.
Ivan Gonzalez- 8.0
Scored the opening goal of today’s match. Was strong at the back throughout the match. Made a goal-line clearance in the second half. Made six clearances, three blocks and interceptions and one tackle. Won 50% of the ground duels and two out of three aerial duels.
Aibanbha Dohling- 7.0
Made five interceptions, two blocks and a tackle. Won 50% of the ground duels and 75% of aerial duels. Enjoyed 81% passing accuracy and served five accurate long balls out of 10 attempted.
Seriton Fernandes- 7.0
Brilliant performance on the right! Enjoyed a passing accuracy of 89%. Also made one key pass. Both his dribbling attempts in the match were successful. Won eight out of 12 ground duels. Also committed four tackles and two clearances. Certainly, can do better in the crossing department; just two accurate ones out of six.

Had a passing accuracy of 89%. Delivered six accurate long balls out of seven. Was steady in the midfield as he made six interceptions, three tackles and a block. Also won 50% of the ground duels.

All three of his dribbling attempts were successful. Made 100 touches and enjoyed a passing accuracy of 84%. Made four correct crosses out of five attempted. Bossed the midfield extensively. Won 15 out of 18 ground duels. Committed six tackles and an interception.
Princeton Rebello- 6.5
Played well in the middle of the park. Was subbed off in the second half. Made 79% accurate passes. However, out of five long balls, only one was successful. Won three out of five ground duels and one out of four aerial duels. Lost possession 13 times. Made one interception and two tackles.
Saviour Gama- 6.0
Made three crosses, created two chances and blocked two shots tonight. Won three out of five ground duels and one out of two aerial duels. Made one interception and clearance each, apart from two tackles. Dribbled past the opponent twice.
Devendra Murgaonkar- 6.5
The FC Goa forward was pretty good against Odisha FC. He had three out of four successful dribbling attempts. Enjoyed a passing accuracy of 86%. Can be credited with the assist for Gonzalez’s goal along with Aibanbha Dohling. Won five out of 11 ground duels, which is impressive keeping in mind the huge figures standing against him (Victor Mongil, Hector Rodas and later Gaurav Bora).
Airam Cabrera- 5.5
Had to be subbed off in the 20th minute. Enjoyed a passing accuracy of 80%. Won both the ground duels.

Wasn’t impressive today. Lost possession 15 times. Won five out of 11 ground duels. Was successful in only four dribbling attempts out of nine.

Strengthened the defence. Could have also scored an own-goal but luckily his header met the crossbar. Made two clearances.
Muhammed Nemil- 6.0
Made 19 touches and delivered one key pass. Won two out of three ground duels.
Sanson Pereira- 6.0
Had a passing accuracy of 91%. Made one interception and a tackle. Failed to deliver an accurate cross; had two clearances.

Won one out of two ground duels. Enjoyed 83% passing accuracy.
