The Juggernauts' assistant also revealed the tactical elements of the performance against the Islanders.
Odisha FC are back to winning ways as they got the better of table-toppers Mumbai City FC in a 4-2 victory. The Juggernauts took an early lead through Aridai Cabrera, but that joy was short-lived as Mumbai equalized through Ahmed Jahouh soon after. Mumbai then went ahead from a header by Igor Angulo.
The second half saw Odisha make a comeback as Jerry Mawimingthanga equalized in the 70th minute. The winger wasn’t done yet, as he added another to take the lead for the Juggernauts. Substitute Jonathas de Jesus then scored the fourth for Odisha in the 89th minute to kill the game off.
After the game, Odisha FC assistant coach Kino Sanchez spoke to the media:

Enjoyed the win
This was Odisha FC’s first win in five matches and naturally Kino Sanchez was happy with the result. “When the team wins everybody on the bench and outside, enjoy the result.
"We suffered in some moments because Mumbai, as we know is a very good team. They dominated the game in some phases. I think we reacted well and we could manage the result.”
Pre-season friendly helped
The Juggernauts’ assistant coach also stated that their pre-season friendly against Mumbai City helped in getting a result against the table-toppers. “When we played a friendly game with them in pre-season, we figured some ways that we can beat them.
"Of course, we know that if we try to take the ball out from them it’s going to be difficult. But, also if we can take some moments, they suffer without the ball. The best weapon against them was using the space.”
It is a team game
Head coach Kiko Ramirez took the blame for their humiliating defeat the last time out. On being asked who gets the credit for tonight’s win, the head coach’s deputy replied. “ I think when the team wins or when the team losses it’s not about the coach.

"It’s about everybody of the staff and all the players. I think football is a sport that we play as a team. So, when we win and when we lose it’s all about the team. Of course, the coach has a big responsibility, but it is teamwork. So, I cannot say the win is for me and the defeat was not for Kiko.”
On Jerry Mawihmingthanga
Odisha FC winger Jerry put on an inspiring performance in the second half, with two goals and an assist. On being asked about his thoughts on Jerry’s performance, Kino Sanchez stated, “The truth is, I am really happy for him. All of the people of the staff and all the players, we are really happy with his performance. He was working really hard since the pre-season and he deserved that.
"He was training for making a match like that. He put 100% everyday in every match. Maybe, the other matches he was making good job in defence, but he was not finding his good ability in attack. Today, we had goals and until the last minute he was giving everything for the club. I am really happy for him.”
