The Nizams now go into the second leg of this fixture with a two goal advantage.
Hyderabad FC came back from behind to beat ATK Mohun Bagan 3-1 in the first leg of the second semi-final of the Indian Super League. The win gives the Nizams an upper hand going into the second leg. Liston Colaco’s brilliant play gave Roy Krishna and ATK Mohun Bagan their only goal of the game.
Hyderabad FC equalized in the final minute of added time in the first half through Bartholomew Ogbeche, before running away with a two-goal lead courtesy of Mohammad Yasir's left-footed shot and a Javier Siverio header.
Hyderabad FC (by Shivam Tiwari)
Laxmikant Kattimani - 6.5
Laxmikant Kattimani conceded the only goal from point-blank range. There was nothing the Hyderbad FC goalkeeper could have done to stop it.
Nim Dorjee Tamang - 6.0
Nim Dorjee Tamang was terrorized throughout the game by Liston Colaco's speed and dribbling. He was dribbled past by the ATK Mohun Bagan winger in the build-up of the only goal Hyderabad FC conceded.
Chinglensana Singh - 6.5
Chinglensana Singh was efficient with his distribution throughout the 90 minutes. However, the former FC Goa defender reacted slowly to Colaco's cross for Roy Krishna's tap-in. Chinglensana Singh was also beaten for pace by the ATK Mohun Bagan forwards a couple of times.
Juanan - 7.5
Juanan brought his team back into the game through his assist for Bartholomew Ogbeche's goal. He also did well to help his team recycle possession of the ball. The former Bengaluru FC defender finished the game with 87% passing accuracy.
Akash Mishra - 8.0
Akash Mishra was heavily involved in the build-up play of Hyderabad FC. He restricted the duo of David Williams and Pritam Kotal to just one cross in 90 minutes. The 20-year-old defender had the most touches of any player in the game.
Souvik Chakrabarti - 6.5
Souvik Chakrabarti had a no-nonsense outing against his former club. The 30-year-old midfielder stayed back to maintain the shape whenever Victor went on one of his many runs. He attempted six tackles in the game.
Joao Victor - 7.0
Joao Victor made a lot of penetrative runs from the pivot to help the Hyderabad FC forwards break the ATK Mohun Bagan defence. If he wasn't making a run, he was busy making progressive passes. The Brazilian midfielder finished the game with 93% passing accuracy.
Mohammed Yasir - 8.5
Yasir didn't begin the game well and coach Manolo Marquez was vocal about it from the sidelines. However, he delivered when the time came.
He scored from the right half-space after catching Subhasish Bose out of his position. The 23-year-old then went on to assist the third goal of Hyderbad FC through an inch-perfect corner.
Bartholomew Ogbeche - 8.0
Ogbeche was involved in two goals for Hyderabad FC. The Nigerian forward scored the equalizer through a header in the dying minutes of the first half. He then went on to play the ball for Siverio, which led to Yasir's goal.
Aniket Jadhav - 6.5
Aniket Jadhav was questionable with his decision-making in the final third throughout the game. The most notable moment that saw the former U-17 international waste an opportunity was in the second half, when he was played a through ball in the box with just the goalkeeper to beat. However, the former Jamshedpur FC forward decided to recycle possession.
Javier Siverio - 8.0
Javier Siverio shielded the ball from Sandesh Jhingan and Tiri, allowing Yasir to try his luck. He then showed impeccable movement in the box from a corner to head the third goal.

ATK Mohun Bagan (By Uttiyo Sarkar)
Amrinder Singh – 4.5
Left rooted for all of Hyderabad FC's goals, but could’ve done better with his positioning to deny at least the opener.
Pritam Kotal – 5.0
Kotal held his nerve against Aniket, making seven blocks and two interceptions. But, caught napping for both Ogbeche and Siverio’s goals, losing his marker in the set-pieces. Lacked any real threat going forward, again.
[KH_ADWORDS type="2" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]
Tiri – 5.5
Tiri moved the ball forward expertly with sweet long passes, but lacked his usual commanding nature in defence. Got absolutely clattered before Hyderabad’s second goal and was substituted after sustaining an injury.
Sandesh Jhingan – 5.5
Jhingan was proactive at the back, making nine clearances and three interceptions to stop a lot of Hyderabad’s attacks. But, caught napping for the equalizer and clattered into his own player for Yasir’s strike.
Subhasish Bose – 6.0
The left-back had a tough time keeping up with Yasir and was often too aggressive for his own good, making silly fouls. Made some crunching challenges, but couldn’t nullify HFC’s attacking threat.
Deepak Tangri – 4.5
The youngster lacked his usual bite in midfield, not being able to press the players as viciously as he normally does. Couldn’t create anything or stop the opponents’ breaks, getting overshadowed in midfield.
Lenny Rodrigues – 6.0
Lenny acted as a robust figure in defensive midfield, cutting out Hyderabad’s swift breaks nicely. Made two blocks, clearances and interceptions in a tidy outing, but added little influence in creating chances.

Joni Kauko – 5.5
Kauko was again a vibrant, creative threat for ATKMB – setting up some prominent chances with clever final third passes. Lacked ruthlessness, scuffing a huge chance in the second half that could’ve been ATKMB’s second.
Liston Colaco – 6.5
Liston was a fizzy figure down the left, making some electric runs to trouble Dorjee Tamang. Brilliantly moved past the defender to setup Krishna’s strike.
David Williams – 6.5
Dropped into deeper positions smartly and created a few big chances with some exquisite passes. Did well playing quite deep and unable to really threaten the goal.
Roy Krishna – 7.0
Operated through the wings, but smartly moved inside the box to score an easy tap-in for the opener. Used his clever movement to keep defenders guessing and open things up for teammates with smart passes.
Substitutes
Manvir Singh – 5.5
Couldn’t really ruffle the defenders after coming on and missed a huge chance late on, failing to tap in a great cross into the goal. Created a big chance for Nassiri to hit the bar towards the end.
Carl McHugh – 5.0
Caught napping for Yasir’s goal. Played as a centre-back for the last 30 minutes.
Hugo Boumous – 6.0
Added a creative spark to his side after coming on, setting up a big chance for Kauko in the second half as well as some other ones with his smart passes late on.
Prabir Das – N/R
Created a huge chance for Manvir minutes after coming on and quite a vibrant figure on the right for the final minutes.
Kiyan Nassiri - N/R
Hit the bar after a swift break in added time.
