The Gaurs registered their maiden win of the season, while the Kolkata giants are yet to get there.
SC East Bengal locked horns with FC Goa on Tuesday, December 7 in an Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 clash at the Tilak Maidan in Vasco, Goa. The match ended 4-3 in favour of the Gaurs. Alberto Noguera gave them the lead in the 14th minute, followed by SC East Bengal's equalizer - an Antonio Perosevic screamer in the 26th minute. Jorge Ortiz Mendoza scored the second for Goa from the spot in the 32nd minute. The narrow lead however, didn’t last long, as Amir Dervisevic netted the ball home directly from a free-kick in the 37th minute.
Before heading back to the dressing room, FC Goa took the lead once again, courtesy of an own-goal from Antonio Perosevic. He brought the Red and Gold back into the game again, by scoring his second goal of the night in the 59th minute. Ultimately, the decisive goal was netted by Noguera in the 79th minute.
On that note, let’s take a look at the player ratings from the SC East Bengal - FC Goa clash:

SC East Bengal (by Rajdeep Saha)
Suvam Sen- 5.5
Not his best performance as he conceded three goals on the night. Produced a brilliant save against an Edu Bedia free-kick, but nothing else.
Franjo Prce- 6.0
He was quite decent tonight, putting pressure on the Goan forwards. He had six clearances and four key interceptions.
Raju Gaikwad- 5.5
He had a disappointing outing on the right-hand side tonight. Couldn’t handle the likes of Jorge Ortiz. The defender was often clumsy in the box and couldn’t be in the right positions. He made one clearance in the time he played.
Tomislav Mrcela- 6.0
He was solid at the back alongside Prce. The defender tried his best to keep the forwards at bay and had 83% accuracy in his passes.
Hira Mondal- 5.0
As compared to his last outing, tonight was very underwhelming. His passing was below-par with 28% accuracy, with none of his long balls meeting the intended target.
Sourav Das- 6.0
The SC East Bengal star made his presence felt in midfield against FC Goa. One negative in his performance was his rash tackle that resulted in the penalty. Otherwise, his 82% passing accuracy and four crucial interceptions were important.
Amir Dervisevic- 7.5
One of the best players for SCEB. His pinpoint free-kick saw his team score the equalizer the second time around.

Bikash Jairu- 5.5
The left midfielder couldn’t put on his best as he was up against Seriton Fernandes. He couldn’t make his two crosses count.
Amarjit Singh Kiyam- 6.0
He had a really good 45 minutes in the first half. One of the best passers of the ball for SC East Bengal with an 89% accuracy.
Naorem Mahesh Singh- 7.0
Naorem was very lively when the ball was with the opposition. He made sure to close down on the opponent and press quite well. He won 10 out of 12 ground duels which supports his good performance.
Antonio Perosevic- 8.0
The losing team’s best man on the pitch. He scored two important goals, but could have won the match for them. Nonetheless, he was able to convert two out three shots on target.
Substitutes
Adil Khan- 6.0
He was solid most of the time, yet sloppy at others. As always, he was dominant in the air, winning two aerial duels.
Lalrinliana Hnamte- N/A
Didn’t have much impact on the game in the time he played.
Joyner Lourenco- N/A
Merely played for the last 10 minutes, couldn’t affect the outcome of the game.

Daniel Chima Chukwu- 6.5
He was selfless and passed the ball that almost saw them take the lead. He had 100% passing accuracy and had good pressure on the defenders.
Semboi Haokip- N/A
Same as Lourenco, played the last few minutes.
FC Goa (by Sattyik Sarkar)
Dheeraj Singh Moirangthem- 5.0
Conceded three goals this evening. Even gave away a ball in the initial stages of the game. Can't be held responsible for the first goal. But, surely could have done better for the rest.
Aibanbha Dohling- 6.5
Looked steady from the very beginning of the game. Played as the left centre-back tonight. Was really impressive.
Ivan Gonzalez- 7.0
Playing as the sweeper, Ivan passed the ball pretty well. Committed some excellent tackles. Prevented Daniel Chima from scoring once.
Mohamed Ali- 6.0
Featured in the Indian Super League after a long time. Wasn't bad in his trade.
Saviour Gama- 6.0
Much more is expected from him. Sent in some balls from the left. Received a yellow card in the first half.
[KH_ADWORDS type="1" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]
Glan Martins- 6.0
Not his day at the office. A mistake from the FC Goa midfielder led to SC East Bengal scoring an equalizer.
Alberto Noguera- 8.0
Orchestrated the midfield. Covered a lot of ground. Scored a stunning opening goal of the match along with the team's fourth.
Set up a chance for Ortiz, who missed from a close distance. At the later stages of the first half, it was his corner which Perosevic netted into his own-goal.
Edu Bedia- 7.0
Played in a double pivot along side Glan Martins. Took a few glances at goal, one hitting the side-net and another being saved brilliantly by goalkeeper Suvam Sen.
Seriton Fernandes- 6.0
Wasn't too impressive, similar to his counterpart Saviour Gama. His tackle outside the penalty box gave away the free-kick which led to Perosevic's screaming equalizer. Also earned a yellow card in the process.
Devendra Murgaonkar- 5.5
Didn't make his mark tonight. Celebrated after FC Goa's third as the ball was initially headed by him before hitting Perosevic on the way.
Jorge Ortiz Mendoza- 8.0
He was seen all over the pitch. Fell back, held the ball, created Noguera's fourth goal, scored from the spot, even defended at times during set-pieces.
