It was a battle of equals at the Tilak Maidan in Vasco as both teams shared the points.

SC East Bengal and Jamshedpur FC both began their Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 campaign undefeated, as they scored once each in a drawn contest on Sunday. Franjo Prce scored the goal for the Red and Gold Brigade, while Peter Hartley found the equalizer for the Men of Steel. Both teams found the back of the net in the first half, and the second half remained goalless.

While SC East Bengal dominated in the first half, Jamshedpur FC bounced back to match up to their opponents in the second half. Jackichand Singh could have scored the winner for Manolo Diaz and his boys in the injury time, as he caught TP Rehenesh off his line and struck from distance. His effort, however, flew just over the crossbar.

Both teams hence have one point each and are third and fourth on the league standings as of now. Let's find out how did the players from both sides performed on Sunday night. Here are the player ratings from the SC East Bengal vs Jamshedpur FC match.

SC East Bengal (by Rajdeep Saha)

Arindam Bhattacharya- 7.0

Didn't have much to do tonight. Pulled off some routine saves and cleared the ball whenever a threatening cross would come knocking.

Hira Mondal- 6.5

The experienced player put in a good shift, but not his best performance.

Franjo Prce- 7.5

The Croatian was solid in defence and was the sole goalscorer for East Bengal.

Tomislav Mrcela- 7.0

Partnered well with Prce in the heart of the defence and kept the Jamshedpur forwards at bay.

Mohammed Rafique- 7.0

He played as a right-back which is not his natural position. Had a good battle with Boris and made some crucial tackles.

Bikash Jairu- 6.5

Decent performance throughout the game.

W. Angousana- 7.5

Brilliant in the middle of the park and held his own against the likes of Lima and Halder.

Sourav Das- 7.5

Along with his partner Angousana, Das performed equally well despite receiving a yellow card.

L. Hnamte- 6.5

An average performance from the 18-year-old.

Antonio Perosevic- 8.0

An outstanding performance from the seasoned forward. He set up his team's goal and created a lot of chances throughout.

Daniel Chima- 6.5

An underwhelming outing for the Nigerian as he looked out of sorts tonight.

Substitutes

Jackichand Singh- 6.5

Was invisible for the 30 minutes he was on the field. Had a long range attempt in the dying minutes of the game that touched the top net.

Joyner Lourenco- N/A

Amir Dervisevic- 6.5

Was decent and played his part on the pitch.

Amarjit Singh- 6.5

Turned some heads with composure in the midfield as he used his skill to get out of some tough situations.

Jamshedpur FC (by Hari Thoyakkat)

TP Rehenesh - 6.0

Did well to make some saves at different points of the game. Can improve his clearances and ball-distribution.

Laldinliana - 6.5

Picked up from where left off last season to put in a good shift at right-back.

Peter Hartley - 7.5

Scored the goal that helped JFC start their ISL 2021-22 campaign undefeated. A captain’s performance in defence too.

Eli Sabia - 7.0

Not as good as his partner Hartley, but he did well too and was a rock in defence. Hartley-Sabia combination worked well.

Ricky Lallawmawma - 6.0

Went up and down the left flank and participated in both attack and defence. But work-rate steadily reduced over time.

Alex Lima - 7.5

JFC’s best performer of the night. Bossed the midfield area and played a vital role in breaking down many of SCEB’s attacks.

Pronay Halder - 6.0

Started off well but did not meet expectations. Should be able to control the midfield more and strike a partnership with Lima in future.

Seiminlen Doungel - 6.0

Did well on the right side of the pitch. His link-up with Valskis was good especially in the first half.

Jitendra Singh - 5.5

Not a great day on the field for him. Showed sign of his potential in midfield, but should improve passing.

Boris Singh - 5.5

Another JFC player who had an underwhelming day. Started off well in the left flank but SCEB caught up to his tricks soon.

Nerijus Valskis - 6.0

Registered the assist for Hartley’s goal. Could just take three shots and only one of those were on target.

Substitutes

Narender Gahlot - 6.0

Played just 19 minutes in the second half, but did well to make sure SCEB didn’t score anymore.

Jordan Murray - 6.0

Played the last 23 minutes of the game. Tried to create chances for his teammates. Can expect more involvement from him in the coming games.

Greg Stewart - 6.5

Played the last 19 minutes of the match. Partnered well with Pandita and Murray. Also a showed good set-piece taking ability.

Ishan Pandita - 6.0

Combined well with Stewart, Murray and so on to make some chances. Had a shot on target as well.

Komal Thatal - 6.0

Did well after coming on as a substitute for Boris. Tried a few attempts himself but failed to hit the mark, can try being less selfish.
