The defender spent only one season in Indian football playing for the juggernauts.
Jacob Tratt has completed a move back to the Australian A-League. The centre-back joins Adelaide United after spending one year with Odisha FC. The Indian Super League outfit had a disappointing campaign last year, finishing bottom in the league standings.
The move might be the perfect outcome for both parties. The partnership was promising, but did not bear the ideal results. The Australian did struggle with the humid conditions of the sub-continent. A move back to his home country will aid the player in finding form. As for OFC, the club are looking to change their fortunes from this season onward.

The 26-year-old has played for several clubs in the A-League previously. He has represented Wellington Phoenix, Sydney FC and Perth Glory among others.
Jacob Tratt's debut ISL season in numbers
Jacob Tratt played 17 matches during the 2020/21 season, recording 1530 minutes of football. The Australian took a little time to settle in the ISL, but carried himself well as the season went on. He often played in a centre-back pairing with Steven Taylor and also put in a shift as a full-back on occasions.
He had one assist in terms of attacking output. As for his defensive performance, Tratt made 39 tackles, 43 interceptions, 54 clearances and 33 blocks. The centre-back also collected seven yellow cards in the process.
Odisha FC's preseason preparation
The Juggernauts had a season to forget last year. The outfit finished in 11th place after only winning two games from 20. Furthermore, they conceded the most number of goals (44) and are looking to fix these issues. New coach Kiko Ramirez will spearhead the charge next season, succeeding Stuart Baxter. Furthermore, the club have brought in Victor Mongil, a previous ISL winner, ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Adelaide United’s ambitions
The A-League outfit finished in fifth place in the league standings last year. The club also conceded more goals (41) than they scored (39), which was one of their main drawbacks. Perhaps, signing Tratt is one of the ways the club are looking to improve next season.
