Odisha FC part ways with assistant coach Thangboi Singto

The 46-year-old tactician joined the club in 2019.

Odisha FC have announced that the club and their Indian Assistant Coach Thangboi Singto have parted ways. Singto had joined the club ahead of the sixth season of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) in 2019 and was also the Head of Youth Development of the club.

After the conclusion of the 2019-20 season, then head coach Josep Gombau had left Odisha FC and since then, the club has announced the appointment of their new boss Stuart Baxter along with hiring the former Arsenal coaching staff member Gerry Peyton as their new assistant coach.

The Odisha FC President Rohan Sharma said, "I want to thank Thangboi for being our assistant coach for the 2019-2020 season. I also wish him best of luck for his future endeavors."

Mr. Singto commented, "It was a great and wonderful experience for me at Odisha FC and would like to thank everyone at the club for their support. It was great to work with Head Coach Josep Gombau. I would like to wish the club, management, staff and players all the best for the upcoming ISL season. Will miss Odisha, its peace loving people and the cheers of the Juggernauts. Dhanyabad OFC."

The Indian Super League club have been on a buying spree after signing players like Samuel Lalmuanpuia, George D'Souza, Hendry Antonay, Saurabh Meher, Kamaljit Singh, Baoringdao Bodo, Premjit Singh, Kamalpreet Singh, Thoiba Singh Moirangthem, Isak Vanlalruatfela and Paul Ramfangauva.
