Italian giants Juventus to set up three training academies in Kerala
This is the latest move into Asia for the Bianconeri.
It’s exciting news for football lovers in Kerala. The internationally renowned top tier football Academy Juventus Football Academy, and turf of choice for star players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala and Gianluigi Buffon, is setting shop in Kerala, through franchise turf and school.
The move comes through one of its leading and certified Indian coaches, Mebin Sam Mathew, of Thiruvalla, Kerala, a European University Alumni in Sports Management and Director of Jovenes Estrellas Internazionale (OPC) Private Ltd.
This would be the first South Asian franchisee and the celebrated Turin club’s foray into footie fans of South Asia and India specifically. Jovenes Estrellas Internazionale (OPC) has won the Franchise rights to operate training academies in Kerala, as the next step to his prior engagements as football expert, researcher, trained and certified coach, having already worked with premier Sports and football training academies previously.
Jovenes Estrellas Internationale (OPC) has already laid out plans in place to open three initial Training Academies for Juventus Academy Kerala. Negotiations have finalized to open and operate the Juventus Academy Kerala, beginning with a private turf in Trivandrum, CMS College in Kottayam, and a private turf in Kochi, apart from ongoing negotiations and talks for more in liaisons with leading educational institutions and turf in the region.
It promises to be an exciting new opportunity to get trained from the best in the business. One of the hottest top tier football clubs in the world with more than 160 popular and much sought after franchise training centres the world over is finally coming to our footie-lovers land.The facilities would be at par with their Turin headquarters, and already the excitement is at fever pitch in the political, spice and finance capitals of the state.
Initially, only three district clubs are in the pipeline, with more districts and schools and colleges in the talks for a chance to host the renowned Academy, says Mebin who aims to share his passion for the sport with the next generation and hopes that the year round training experience at Juventus academy develop the quality of the nurturing talents of his own homeland. With that in mind, he has pioneered this move to ensure the finest training and turf one can find in Kerala.
