The head coach of the Kochi-based side advised his players to leave the pitch.
Bengaluru FC beats Kerala Blasters FC 1-0 in the first ISL 2022-23 playoff match at the Kanteerava Outdoor stadium in Bengaluru. Sunil Chettri scored the winning goal through a freekick from a few yards outside the penalty box in the extra time. Both teams had equal opportunities in the first 90 minutes but failed to convert them into a goal.
The match ended in controversy with the Kerala Blasters coach Ivan Vukomanovic taking his players off the pitch before the end of full-time. Ivan wasn't happy with the free-kick goal and argued with the referees eventually making his way off along with the players. Bengaluru FC will take on Mumbai City FC in the semifinals.
