  3  Vs 1

Bonavacia 14'         Chettri 30'

Hooi 18'

Bacuna 32'

India played a different style of football but went down to the eventual winners who played a wonderful game against a super strong opponent who denied Igor Stimac a perfect start!

Stay tuned as the talking points and the player ratings will soon come your way! This is Sabin Signinig off!

Full time as India go down to their Carribbean Opponents!

90+2' Two Huge Chances from Soosairaj! one from the corner and one from a combination play with Captain Sunil!

90+1: 4 minutes added on!

90' Gurpreet pulls another save off a long range! Chhettri puts in a wonderful ball for Sopsairaj who minutely misses the ball to be collected by the Curacao cutodian!

89' Yellow Card to Bheke for a silly foel blocking the movement of the attacker!

88' Yellow Card to goal scorer Bonavacia!

87' Pulsata Dhar seems to have been put up to defend the performance of the team as he is continually pushing the idea of media writing positively despite the horrible scoreline!

86' India seems to want at least one goal as Sunil heads in a ball towarrds the keeper but it sails well above the crosss bar!

84' Sahal and Chhettri's confusion reuslts in the death of a wonderful move! The team has to play many more games to develop a consistent chemistry!

S. Carmelia comes in for the Curacao side as they add bulk in midlfield.

81' Sunil comes so close to scoring off a Sahal ball! But no goal yet!!!

80' Some urgency shown from the Indian side as Amarjit nearly wins a ball in the penalty area only to be declared a foul! It seems the last 10 minutes might seems some interesting action.

75' The Weather seems to suit the Men in BLue who are working hard and trying to gain the upper hand to turn this deficit around.

73' Udanta delivers another cross, this time from a corner and he finds Bheke who puts it above the bar.

70' Udanta puts in a beauty of a ball but Stoke's Cuco Martina Clears the ball in the knick of time. The ensuing corner by Raynier is wasted.

66' It starts pouring in as the game is approaching the last 20 minutes! Will the change in Weather help the Indian side?

Soosairaj comes in for Brandon Fernandes!

64' Elson stings the palms of Gurpreet from a rocket shot from outside the box but the keeper is able to clear the ball away with relative ease.

60' Gurpreet looks off his game as he is not able to reach his players while passing the ball to them in active play. The newer approach of building from the back is baffling the custodian who is trying his best to adapt.

57' Kotal and Gurpreet deny Hooi at the near post as the ball goes slightly wide of the upright!

56' Brandon lays on a beautiful chip to Udanta who works hard to keep the ball but Chettri is outmuscled before he got on to the ball!

54' India are looking like a much better side in the middle of the park with Raynier getting deeply involved and winning the ball all over the pitch.

51' Amarjit Singh Kiyam and Raynier would look to get the most out of the opportunity and they have started really well. The impact of the two clearly visible from the Indian gameplay. Meanwile Bacuna wins and wastes a free-kick from a good position.

49' India tries to find their way back into the opposition half after being pinned in their defensive half. Some beautiful exchanges between Raynier Fernandes, Sunil Chhetri, Brandon and Amarjit Singh saw India get the hold of ball and earn themselves a corner.

46' Welcome back! Igor Stimac has brought some changes in his plans, trying to tweak his system with two substitutions. Pronay Halder goes out for Raynier Fernandes while Amarjit Singh Kiyam replaces Chhangte. Two new faces for the national team who will try to impress the national team coach.

It is Half Time! Chhetri and Brandon have been the bright spots in an abysmal Indian Side that has been run down by the opposition boasting players, playing in Europe. May be the FIFA ranking of 82 should have been factored in while preparing for the game! Also it would have been great had the Indian Team had a longer camp as the players look lethargic!

45' A free-kick given away at the edge of the penalty area which is now converted into a corner as 2 minutes are added on.

43' Chettri sets up Sahal who sends the ball down the right to Udanta who hits it on target only to be denied by the diving Eloy Room!

40' Bose needs to do a much better job as he had closed his eyes while recieving the ball and gave it away leading to a corner.

37' Pritam Kotal flagged offside as Pulsata Dhar is trying to plead India's case in the commentary box!

32' Bacuna scores one more past GSS and it looks like this is the end of the road for him as the ball did not see enough reaction by the Keeper!

30' Chettri!!! Scores a beauty of a Penalty! Under the arm of the Goal Keeper as India Claw one back!

Penaltyyyy!!! Sahal is brought down in the box thanks to a series of play which began with Brandons chip and Bose's cross!

28' As the match resumes some chatter in the Khel Now office suggests that an urgent Substitution of Halder and Chhangte is required.

24' Gevaro shoots a missile past Gurpreet as the Indian defence seems incapable of closing down on the Curacoa team. Both teams go in for a water break.

23' India are playing a much better game with passing being the main focal point but it is not yeilding much as even Udanta's tasty cross is cleared off by the defenders.

Factoid: 85% of the ball in the first 20 Minutes has been in the middle of the park.

18' GOAL: Elson Hooi makes it 2 for Curacao as he is assisted by an Indian Midfielder who while clearing the ball put the ball into Hooi's feet as he marched into the penalty area and slotted the ball past Jhingan after beating Gurpreet.

14'  GOAL: Bonavacia scores as the team plays a quick passing session in the penalty area as the goal keepers just did not see it coming.

12' Bonavacia unleashes a shot just wide of Gurpreet that forces a dive as well as caution among the defenders.

10' Gurpreet and Jhingan combine to clear a corner won by Curacao.

9' Chhangte looks to be in a fancy mood as he tries to pass Gaari with a trick wround him but loses the ball in the final third. Brandon is showing a lot of promise as he seems to do things that once Eugenson did.

7' Brandon plays a peach of a ball to Sahal and he puts in a cross only to be missed by both teams as the attack didnt reach on time to pounce on the ball.

5' Bose and Jhingan crowd out a Curacao attack as both teams play a calm and collected game.

4' Chhangte puts in a brillaint tackle in the defensive half as Arias is thwarted in the attacking third.

3' Brandon and Sahal are teaming up well and Curacao are finding it drifficult to move the ball out of their defensive half.

1' Kick off as India are pressing high and are displaying a diamond in the centre and looking to close tge gaps as Curacao are resorting to the air ways to keep the ball moving.

2:00 - Curacao are going to field a 4-2-1-3 line up with their Physicality and Total-Football being the points of focus as the teams are looking to exploit all the nooks and cranies they hope to discover in the Indian game play.
