For Ligue 1, it's not good if Neymar leaves - Andre Villas-Boas
The Brazilian has been the centre of attraction in the Ligue 1 since his arrival from Barcelona in 2017.
The saga around Neymar Jr.’s transfer away from Paris Saint-Germain continues as the Brazilian is desperate to move back to the La Liga. However, in a latest, Olympique Marseille manager André Villas-Boas expressed his concern regarding the matter.
“For Ligue 1, it's not good if he leaves,” asserted the Portuguese.
“There's this attractiveness, the football world wants to watch these kinds of players. I don't know what's going to happen, I can't comment on the separation because I'm not the PSG coach,” he added.
Since his big money move from Barcelona in 2017, Neymar quickly made his impression in the Ligue 1, scoring a whopping 51 goals in as many as 58 appearances for the French champions in all competitions.
“This type of players has an important image in football, a bit like when Ronaldinho was here in Paris,” said Villas-Boas praising the 27-year-old winger, “He is an important player in the world of football. For me, it was the player who could succeed (Cristiano) Ronaldo and (Lionel) Messi for the Ballon d'Or.”

With Real Madrid and Barcelona both surfacing as the best suitors in the transfer market for Neymar, a move within the next couple of seasons cannot be ruled out.
Thus, as Villas-Boas’ concerns sound worrisome, the French top tier may lose its centre of attraction following the departure of Neymar.
