Mumbai host Delhi in ISL summit clash

Both teams will be out to make a statement of intent ahead of the playoffs…
With both teams already qualified for the playoffs, Mumbai City FC and Delhi Dynamos will be looking to top the league with a win when they lock horns with each other in the Indian Super League match at Mumbai Football Arena on sunday.
A draw at home will be good enough for Alexandre Guimaraes’ side to finish the league phase on top of the table, while the Lions need all three points to end the league on top. However, it won’t be easy for them as they have experienced mix results in recent matches winning one, drawing one and losing two.
Team News
The Mumbai head coach Guimarães has emphasized the need to get three points tomorrow and is likely to field a strong XI.
On the other hand, the visitors might rest a few key players who are in danger of picking up suspensions should they get booked tomorrow. There iare no major injury concerns for the either side.
Head-to-Head
In the previous meeting between both the sides ended in a high scoring 3-3 draw in Delhi. But as far as head-to- head is considered, Mumbai hold a slight upper hand over Delhi as the Lions have managed only one win over Mumbai.
Man to Watch
Krisztián Vadócz –Mumbai City FC: The Hungarian midfielder is one of the linchpins in the heart of the Mumbai midfield. Apart from protecting the back four when needed he has also chipped in with three important goals and plays a crucial role as the link between defence and attack. With Delhi having a midfield to match, the game will undoubtedly be decided in the middle of the park tomorrow. If Mumbai are to gain the upper hand, Vadocz will have an important role to play.
Marcelinho - Delhi Dynamos: The Brazilian striker has been in fantastic form with the Lions. The forward has already scored nine goals and is leading the race for the Golden Boot. He will play a key role if they are to beat high-flying Mumbai and go top.
