Bayern Munich front runners in signing Aaron Ramsey
The Welsh midfielder has been a fan-favourite and an integral part of the Gunners’ squad over the years.
Bayern Munich are all set to land Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey after finding a breakthrough in negotiations with the midfielder. Ramsey’s contract with the Gunners is due to expire at the end of the season and Bayern are confident that he will sign a pre-contract agreement with the club in January.
The Welsh midfielder was in line to agree a new deal at the Emirates, however, the club surprisingly withdrew their offer.
Meanwhile, Chelsea and Liverpool are also interested in signing Ramsey. The English clubs, especially the Merseysiders - who have been interested in acquiring the player’s services, might have lost the competition to the Bundesliga giants, according to the Independent.
The German outfit have previously signed Robert Lewandowski, Leon Goretzka and Sebastian Rudy on free transfers and believe that the 27-year-old, too, will succeed in Germany considering his age.
The former Cardiff City youngster who came to London 10 years ago, was an integral part of Arsenal’s squad over the years and exceptionally appeared 246 times in all competitions for the club while scoring 37 goals during the journey.
In the ongoing season, too, Ramsey has appeared 12 times and scored a goal while providing four assists.

Many people associated with the club, including the fans, expected the player to stay, but unfortunately, the club decided not to hand him over with a new deal and manager Unai Emery is said to have agreed on it too. Although, Emery could use the midfielder until the end of the campaign as he has been performing pretty well of late.

Bayern, on the other hand, would hand the Welsh international a large signing-on fee while offering him a lower wage so as to compensate it.
