The Gunners have just won four from 13 games in the Premier League.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery was already under immense pressure owing to underwhelming results in the league for the Gunners. However, with a 2-2 draw against Southampton, the pressure has increased with rumours of potential sacking.

While a report on Independent claim that the former Sevilla boss won't be sacked after their poor showing against Southampton on Saturday but the board members have held a meeting discussing the ultimatum.

The Arsenal board have mainly decided to stick around Unai Emery and allow him some time. At least four matches after the international break, as it is claimed. With the first one ending in a 2-2 draw against Southampton, the Spanish tactician will be eager to come back to winning ways soon.

The next three matches in the English Premier League for Arsenal are against Norwich City, Brighton and Hove Albion and city rivals West Ham United. All of the three fixtures are winnable according to Arsenal board and failing to do so may lead to Emery's dismissal from the Emirates.

The Gunners' hierarchy still trusts the former Sevilla man to turn things around and bring back the lost glory. With the majority of the players also backing him, Emery may script a comeback from the Norwich City match.

However, his lack of connection with the players and the supporters may affect some of his future decisions.

Emery said, “I understand the supporters. They are now frustrated, disappointed and angry. The players feel the same."

“My job is to work, analyse and find a solution for how we can improve. I know the key is here to take confidence, to achieve the points, the good performances at home and then to take that away."

"The key is here with our supporters. I know that and the players also know that."

“Our target was to win this evening but above all, to connect. We didn't do that."

“We lost a very big opportunity and now we will analyse and work on a solution for the next matches.”

Before the Premier League action continues, Unai Emery's men will face Bundesliga outfit and last season's Europa semifinalists, Eintracht Frankfurt.
