The Cityzens are 22 points behind Premier League table-toppers Liverpool.
Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has expressed that the Cityzens will not find it difficult to attract 'great players' to the club once the Spaniard leaves City. It is not a hidden fact that Pep Guardiola was one of the reasons the majority of this squad came to the Etihad stadium. Speaking to ManCity, Guardiola said that he doesn't believe that he is the reason for that. He said, "No, I don’t think so. I don’t think it’s the only reason." “We asked other players (in recent seasons) and they didn't come." “Not every player we wanted is standing with us today." “The club is big enough and good enough. It’s not the only reason that I am here. The club was good before I came here. City won titles with Manuel Pellegrini and Roberto Mancini and played good football. The players we already have can help us. The club has to convince players in the future.” [KH_ADWORDS type="4" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]Reflecting on the ongoing season, Bernardo Silva told Sky that 'Premier League has been a huge disappointment' as they languish 22 points behind table-toppers Liverpool. He said, "The Premier League has been a huge disappointment to be so far from Liverpool and now we have to fight for the second position.""It hurts a lot because when you start a season, you always want to go for the Premier League, it's the main competition and the most important for the fans."
"So it's very disappointing, no one expected us to be this far from Liverpool in January or February so it's something that we need to learn from. We need to understand what failed and how we can solve it."
