Reports: David de Gea's future at Manchester United remains 'very uncertain'
The shot-stopper's current deal at the club runs out at the end of next season.
David de Gea's future at Manchester United remains 'very uncertain' according to reports in England. The goalkeeper's contract with the Red Devils is set to run out at the end of next season and he will be free to talk to foreign clubs in January. The 28-year-old is holding out for a pay rise that would bring him at par with the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba.
Another vital factor in the talks is qualifucation for the UEFA Champions League, on which the club missed out this time around after having a lacklustre campaign in the Premier League. However, the shot-stopper has been the scapegoat for a lot of blunders this season which hasve proven many a time to be costly.
He has been at the club for eight years and this campaugn's dismissal performance could be the reason why the club could be willing to bid goodbye to the custodian who joined from Atletico Madrid for a fee of £17m.

[KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS]The top brass at Manchester United are looking to rejuvenate the team this summer under the watchful eyes of Ole Gunnar Solskjær, who took over the reigns mid-season after the sacking of Jose Mourinho, whose tenure saw the club win just two games out of 12 at the start of the campaign.
Primary focus would be put in the domain of the development of homegrown talent and fulfilling the potential of the players from the academy, despite the club being linked with many high-profile transfers such that of Matthijs de Ligt and João Félix.
