The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager was all praises for the English teenager.

In a latest, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has made a bold statement saying he wouldn’t sell teenage prodigy Phil Foden at whichever cost.

“He is the only player that can't be sold under any circumstances, the only one. Not even for 500m euros,” quoted the Spaniard.

Guardiola’s statement comes months after he had apologised to Foden for not handing enough minutes on the pitch as he deserved. According to Sky Sports, the Spaniard had quoted that ‘the next decade belongs to Phil Foden.’

“Phil's going nowhere. Phil is City. We won't be signing anyone else for that position. When David Silva leaves, we know exactly who our new magician will be,” Guardiola went on add.

19 year-old Foden has already won some major titles including the U-17 FIFA World Cup and the Premier League twice. Interestingly, the Stockport-born midfielder is the youngest player ever to have won the English league title.

A truly gifted player, it is simply astonishing to see how Foden is a strong competition to City’s world class midfielders, something Guardiola must be very proud of.

“He's grown up with us. He's one of us and he's going to be brilliant - one of the Premier League's best,” said the boss as he spoke to The Sun

In the ongoing season, Foden has appeared just once for City in the UEFA Champions League against Dinamo Zagreb. However, as he came off the bench, the midfielder scored in the dying minutes against the visitors to hand over a 2-0 win to his side.

Having already shown his capabilities before, impressing Guardiola, the youngster now aims to cement his place in the starting lineup.

In the Premier League, the defending champions next face Crystal Palace on 19th October as they aim to close down the huge gap up to league leaders Liverpool.
