Manchester United host Arsenal at Old Trafford in Gameweek 6 of the Premier League on Sunday. The clash between these giants has always been a fiery and cagey affair in the Premier League era. The clash has a very long history, from legendary managers in Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsène Wenger’ legendary battles on the sidelines. To the all out brawl between legendary captains Roy Keane and Patrick Vieira.
This will be the first time Manchester United’s new manager Erik ten Hag takes charge in this iconic fixture. Injury and Team News
Antony is registered to feature against Arsenal and the Brazilian winger completed his first training session with the Red Devils on Friday. Martin Dubravka could also be on the bench after his loan signing from Newcastle United. Erik ten Hag has ruled Anthony Martial out of the clash due to an injury he picked up in the 2-1 win over Liverpool. Facundo Pellistri and Brandon Williams are also out of contention. Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw are also minor doubts ahead of the clash.
Mikel Arteta’s team are currently facing a midfield injury crisis as both Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny are out with injury for a very long time. Reiss Nelson is also ruled out of the clash with a long-term injury. Aaron Ramsdale and Martin Odegaard picked up knocks in the 2-1 win over Aston Villa and are minor doubts. Oleksandr Zinchenko is also yet to return to training and is ruled out of the clash.
